  1. Aren’t the first 6 letters of his name “Christ”?
  2. He has allowed himself to get caught up in the hype that has surrounded him from day 1 which has consequently shot his ego through the roof. He is still immature psychologically and I believe that that penny has only just dropped. He is now starting to question himself and self-analysing (which isn’t a bad thing). This period of uncertainty has been reflected in his performances over the past couple of months. Continuing to play him in the senior team will only exacerbate the problem. He needs to sit down with the club psychologist for some D & M’s and play at Casey until he shows he has (a) returned to planet earth and (b) Is consistently playing 4 quarters of team-oriented football.
  3. Petracca has polish. It’s a pity that he uses it on himself though.
  4. Oh, and Petracca....leave yourself alone son. You must have RSI in both wrists by now!
  5. ANB, Harmes, Tyson......FAR COUGH! Very poor decision not to play another tall defender.
  6. We are a couple of kicks away from smashing this. Open the forward line a little. Push Hannan and Melksham wider. TMac, Hoges and Tracs within 20 metres of goal.
  7. Who matches up on Westhoff? I see that as an area of concern.
  8. 2× VFL premiership: 1955, 1956 2× Keith 'Bluey' Truscott Medal: 1955, 1956 Melbourne leading goal kicker: 1955 Melbourne Team of the Century Australian Football Hall of Fame Melbourne Hall of Fame 2× All-Australian: 1956, 1958 President of our footy club 1986 - 1991. That's Stuart Spencer. Not surprised that bandwagon fans haven't heard of him. Was clearly a dud... Yeah, maybe I am an old bugger but my levels of support involve learning about the history of our team. I guess that sort of interest is what separates us diehard Demons from the fairweather fans. Nope, never saw Stuart play but did in fact meet him whilst he was our Prez. A true gentleman and one of our clubs legends.
  9. Give yourself an.uppercut.
  10. Yes, it was an ordinary performance but fair dinkum, some people on here have no idea. FWIW and IMO, Smith and Spargo did OK. I also read we should trade Hogan? FCS get real! The bloke had a quietish day. Ben Brown didn’t snag a goal over the weekend and there is no talk of him being flicked! Collingwood cannot play much better and we really could not have played much worse. We have played some brilliant football in recent weeks but today looked really tired and beaten by quarter time. It happens. We had a bad day. Move on. I am very confident that we will re-group over the break and come back. Some times things fall apart so better things can fall into place. Go Dees.
  11. He should be ashamed of himself. Pathetic attitude and not a leaders a.hole. Wouldn't have him at my club for free. The measure of anyone, particularly "leaders" is how they respond to adversity. Lynch needs to inspire his team mates by displaying strength of character and leading by example. He should be coming from the field totally spent from running, chasing, contesting and tackling regardless of the scoreboard. Instead he seems to be thinking of next years bank balance. Poor form Tom Lynch.
  12. Rance is a good footballer who also happens to be an egotistical, sniping, posing princess. Send Jack straight to him for the first 5 minutes the next time we play Richmond to get inside his head. (Or Tim Smith if he's playing).
  13. Sorry t_u, I don't intend to be obscure. Just being careful. TMac pulled up extremely sore after the Dogs game and apparently been on "lighter duties" this week.
  14. TMac’s foot ok? Hmmmmmmm...... I certainly hope so.
  15. A tremendous young man now showing his whole skill set after overcoming his frightening injury concerns. Has shown true strength of character in dealing with what must have been a daunting and massively stressful time to become an inspirational onfield example. Well done Gus! As an aside, black and green fluoro helmets for the whole 22 I reckon!
  16. Maybe we need to wait and see how the weather is going to pan out for the QB game? if it’s wet then speed and agility become less of an advantage in comparison to strength. I think Pedo is a certainty in any event. As for debuting young blokes on QB.....the last time we did that we all know the result.
  17. 6. Jetta 5. Oliver 4. Brayshaw 3. Fritsch 2. TMac 1. Hogan
  18. My son is a dyed-in-the-wool demon supporter and also a surgeon. He called me to say he reckons its an ACL. He was at the game and watched Jake through binoculars as he left the ground. If You See Kay....
  19. You don’t look well mate. You may well be coming down with something. It just wouldn’t be right to potentially cross-infect young children. Best to just stay home.
  20. Learning to kick off his right foot might be a start to the reinvention.
  21. Gee Josh, everything read well until you mentioned the “green death” and beer in the same sentence! If you’re looking for a decent beer after the game try Penny Blue off Little Bourke Street. You will be spoilt for choice mate. Enjoy the game and Nate’s 250th.
  22. All of the above plus allegedly.........repeat allegedly: A VERY frank discussion between team leaders where damaged bridges were not only mended but reinforced very strongly. Several players being told to completely commit to both skippers and the team or enjoy Casey regardless of their ability. Three players told to pull their heads in and play team footy or be Casey bound. A coaching conflict remedied. One players health issue identified, recognised and professional treatment sought and ongoing.
  23. Upon seeing how happy I am following our magnificent win, my wife responded with “don’t go getting any ideas you silly old man”. I didn’t realise my happiness was that obvious! ?
  24. 6. Brayshaw 5. Hogan 4. Hibberd 3. Viney 2. Jones 1. Lever
  25. Lovani lining up at Doomben in race 2. Bit of a nibble for it this morning. Likes to race on the pace too which is an advantage at Doomben today. Fine morning here in Brisbane although a few clouds building in the south. Might cop a shower or two later this morning but shouldn’t have any bearing on track conditions. The Gold Coast may cop a bit of rain though.
