Nailed it W11. Wet weather is our kryptonite.

Very glad Hanneberry is out of our sights. It is clear why Sydney are flicking him. Gaff won’t be coming to the Dees either apparently.

When he takes an overhead mark like Castagna can I will agree with you.

Has he finished? I reckon he's gone blind...

How in hell is intentionally lashing out with a studded football boot in accordance with the guiding principles for the Laws of the Game in relation to player health and safety? It has nothing to do with protecting Greene in his attempt to mark the ball and all about his intent to harm opposition players. It is essentially kicking in danger. A violent act by somebody with a history both on and off the field. When I played footy, that would have seen the offender decked and later cost him 4 weeks courtesy of the tribunal AND being labelled a kicker. If Greene is allowed to get away with what he is doing it makes a mockery of the rules of our game.

Absolutely. Why dredge this up now? Cannot believe some “supporters”.

True, but we won't see Tyson running straight through opposition players. I can live with a turnover or two if it leaves an opposition player in fear of being smashed.

I thought exactly the same thing Jack. -
Petracca would do well to attack the footy like Vanders. No side steps from Azza. Straight lines only. Intimidating football.

What they're saying down at Moorabool Street
ProperDee replied to Queanbeyan Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Anyone who says our 2nd and 3rd quarters were poor has no idea. It was only our inaccurate kicking that kept Geelong in the game. Should have won by at least 50 points. We monstered them! Our pressure and intensity was magnificent. Cats players were looking over their shoulders all night. Hawks are no chance against us. -
Changes v Hawthorn - Semi Final
ProperDee replied to The Great Pretender's topic in Melbourne Demons
Tyson deserves to be dropped but won’t be. Spargo only fair last night but maybe the occasion got to him. If it’s a dry track against the Hawks, Jeffy must come in to calculations. Yeah, some will say he is out of form but on a dry, spacious ground he is more of a concern to opposition coaches than Spargo. -

IMHO the just delisted Jake Barrett would be a handy pick up from Brisbane. I have seen him at both NEAFL & AFL level this year and he is a hard and tough uncompromising young footballer who I believe might thrive at a more successful club.

Wow! It was $20 in Fitzroy Street.......

Poor man's Craig Bradley. A receiver and accumulator but slow and with average disposal. Top up for the Lions or back to Victoria to the Bluesers or the VFL.

Evidencing the fact that few players watch opposition games is Bayley Fritsch not even making the list of best first year players! It’s difficult to admit but Blighty is right.

Who are our bottom six? And where do they rate?

I agree with Bandicoot, Harmes to Dangerfield. He is the class performer. I'd run ANB with Ablett. Gazza's way past his best but still likes running on to the easy ball and creating/scoring. S. Sellwood will line up on Clarry so to counter that in the early stages, I'd line Clarry up at deep FF. That will cause Selwood and his coach some worry. Clarry has that thug done and dusted in a one- on-one contest. Play AvB in the middle in place of Clarry with instructions to slam whichever Cat's player gets their hands on the ball at stoppages in the first 15 minutes. Imagine knowing that AvB and Jack Viney are lying in wait for you to touch the footy.... Finally, Weid and TMac to start on the centre square line leaving Melky, Tracs, Spargs/Hannan and Clarry in the forward 50. I reckon that the first 15 minutes would be something to behold.

Changes v Geelong - Elimination Final
ProperDee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
UNFORCED changes. We are FORCED to make changes due to injury and naturally Viney comes in. An UNFORCED change would be Garlett for Spargo or JKH. Nice name by the way. Obviously just jumped on his bandwagon recently. -

Can’t believe people are suggesting unforced changes to a winning team. Absolutely ridiculous. -

Having confirmed Demon haters Ling, KB and Frawley among the selectors didn't help Gus, Nev or TMac. Maxy and Clarry were always getting a guernsey though. As Jaded said, it Max doesn't get the No 1 ruck selection it an abomination. Not only that, it will make the entire selection process a joke.

Listening to Macquarie Sports Radio this morning where there was a staggering amount of sympathy offered based around the excuse "he is a 20 year old boy". My counters are: 1. He is a professional sportsman so how many times would the no drugs in sport policies have been rammed home? 2. In my experience, it would be exceedingly rare that a drug user be caught on their very first occasion.
