Wow! I just read every post in this thread. That’s 30 minutes of my life I will never get back. its game day for the Demons. I couldn’t give a toss about Heritier, politics, protest marches or COVID-19. My immediate concerns are which pizza will I order for half time, making sure my beers are extra icy by first bounce and enjoying the Dees demolishing Carlton. The world and its many issues can damn well wait.

In todays game, I think its crucial that most players on a list are able to be skilled and professional enough to play in multiple positions if required. The days of one trick pony's are pretty much gone.

I did post previously a few times but got an unfriendly message that caused me to rethink and then not post again. I didn’t understand the rudeness. Then when I read that one of you blokes had (allegedly) dreamed the trifecta in the Australian Derby a couple of years back, that did it for me. I must be one of the few not surprised by the selection of Mitch Brown ahead of Weideman. Sam has been a disappointment for mine. A few flashes of brilliance in 2018 haven’t transitioned into even general consistency. Maybe the selection of Brown might give the young bloke a wake up call? I hope so. We’ve had a few “gunna” key forwards over the years. I always think of David Cordner for some reason.... On Brown, I reckon he is a very smart pick up. A flexible tall with footy smarts who can run (and came for free) is not something to be sneezed at. Might be a tad underrated too.

If, as it seems, HB is going to spend some time at Casey. What odds the Liston? Then again, if he plays a dozen games in the AFL, what odds to run a place in the Brownlow?
