He would have burst a blood vessel seeing the way some of these “modern” footballers carry on. I’ll have a guess: 1. 4 AFL Premierships, AA selection, Hawks B & F, 40 VFL touches last week....... all as a midfielder 2. Our midfield got flogged last week. 3. Is a proven wet tracker.

Jaryd Roughead forward coach? Lewis will stay on in a coaching role next season so we might be a chance to lure Roughie over. I like the idea of getting former players back. Yze and Green are my preferences. Brad Scott anyone?

After the midfield debacle last Sunday, we have to give Lewis a run in the middle. He did win 4 premierships, a Hawks B & F and All Australian selection as a midfielder. He has good leadership skills and could provide some great feedback to our regular mids. It would also give one of the usual mids a chance to spend time down forward to bolster our skill set down there.

No room for perhaps the best small defender in the comp? N. Jetta.

Nobody playing an outside mid role at all. Every one is a bull-at-a-gate hard ball seeker. Coach is to blame for that.

I live 700 metres from the Gabba. Clear blue sky right now although we had a couple of heavy showers overnight. Have had some rain most days this week so the deck may be a little slippery. Rotate Lewis through the midfield giving others a chance to rest forward. 4 Premierships playing as a midfielder is the clue to where he plays best and evidenced by his performance at Casey last game. The track maybe a bit slow in Brisbane. It has been raining quite hard throughout the night and this morning with more predicted over the next few days. That should suit Lewis.
