  1. Oh great. And in the meantime our opponents on Thursday are having a training run. It’s a laugh a minute at the moment
  2. And “hope” being the operative word. We have peaked too early. Have a look around. Brisbane starting to flex muscle, Geelong give up a 4 goal deficit to win by 7 against a side we struggled to beat, Dogs going beautifully. And we are doing what? We will be 5th by end of next round. We cannot kick goals. TMac has fallen off a cliff, but then we did try to trade him last year. May I ask, we’re you at the game today? Because they never gave a yelp. Outplayed by the team sitting 9th. Do you really think the Giants would have beaten Brisbane, Geelong, Bulldogs or Port today, at their HOME grounds?
  3. I think our season is almost done anyway. We’ll limp into finals and be shot out first week
  4. If they show form tonight, ins BBrown, Chandler, Joel Smith and Vandenberg. Out Sparrow, Pickett, Petty and Jordan. Brayshaw into the midfield
  5. And the Club needs to stop putting out these videos of players mic’d up at training. Unless they show some players actually working on their obvious deficiencies, and not frolicking around like they have actually achieved anything! Big heads on big pay packets, and it counts for squat! I am sick and tired of being promised that this is the year, and failing again. Unless we can turn this around, 5th is the best we can hope for. And looking at the rest of the draw a good chance we could play Essendon in the first week. And you reckon they wouldn’t relish that! Bitterly disappointing, but not surprised.
  6. Here at the ground. We are nowhere near it. Flat as a tack. GWS will win this by at least 6 goals. Forward line is dysfunctional. Good bye top 4
  7. Brown won’t come in this week. He needs to play another game or two in the VFL, and smash it. No change for me. Tipping TMac, Fritter and Koz to hit the scoreboard big time this week. Jones to be sub again, but he is building to be a potential X factor at the business end of the year
  8. I think it depends on which section of the ground you are in Pineapple. The folk in the outer would not know s..t from clay
  9. Our midfield kicked 6 goals, theirs kicked none.
  10. Yep, me too. Our season is on the line here. Lose this and we won’t finish top 4
  11. We didn’t win at the Gabba, it was Giants Stadium
  12. Stringer played a lot of midfield minutes against Hawthorn. I hope he does the same against us. We may be able to revisit the Jack Viney Made Me Cry thread.
  13. They don’t need to circle. Just come right in, and take. please.
  14. They are in a purple patch of form at the moment. They have an air of confidence about them. I don’t rate them either, but right now they are a top 8 team. They beat West Coast recently in Perth. We need to be switched on for the whole game this week, otherwise they will win easily. In fact, I reckon they should start favorites.
  15. Absolutely. I have said recently that our next 2 games are critical. We just cannot afford to lose games against teams outside the 8. The chasing pack are coming. If we don’t bring our A game next Saturday night we are in serious trouble.
  16. True. But just to be transparent, I believe this article was from a couple of years ago. But couldn’t be more prudent now! He has zero bargaining chips at the moment. I think the club will delist him
  17. No, I do “get it”. The guy is a massive under achiever. Getting paid truckloads to do what? Remember when his manager touted huge dollars last year? If he is taking the pay cheque, then yeah he needs to be accountable for his performance. There is absolutely nothing I have seen in his career to date to suggest that he will become a regular AFL player. As many have already said here, he is good VFL at best. Then take the pay cheque that goes with that. Hence get another career
  18. Ok, take a poll of DL posters who agree or not, then have another crack. Tell me Mr Webber, where do YOU think Weideman’s future lies? Based on his contribution to date. Collingwoods key forwards kicked 7 goals today, Weid did not get a kick!
  19. Next 2 games are critical. We need to win both, as Cats play Bulldogs, and Lions play Cats. Win those 2 and top 4 would appear a lock. I’ll forgive this one. Pies were always going to fire up, and we were awful. Not to be unexpected, given the great wins of the past 2 weeks. I’m not going to slash my wrists about today, we have the bye to regroup and reset. Which hopefully is what the team is thinking. We know they hate losing but today was collateral damage. And I will say it again, Sam Weideman needs to find another career.
  20. This is a huge half coming up. If Richmond lose this, I don’t think they can finish top 4
  21. Fully agree. We need to ready for Collingwood on Monday
  22. They were a better team last year irrespective of whether Kent was there or not. The fact is that Kent has never really cemented a place even when he was fit. Just one of those not quite near players. A bit like a lot on their list
  23. Because, like when he was with us, he was either injured or not up to it?
