  1. Too right I'll be there. Missed the Queen's Birthday game, but my daughter, a blues supporter, went with her diehard Dee's supporter partner. She was shocked at the behaviour of Collingwood supporters, giving it to Dee's supporters as they left after the game. Carried on like they had just won the flag. Not to mention the filth bench mouthing off at Max as he went off injured (I have it on good authority he gave them a big spray back, especially Maxwell). We owe this mob big time. Expect CP5 to have a big one
  2. He could have played the straight bat and said he didnt know and leaves those things to the football department. The fact he said what he did is the most positive thing we have heard since this all began
  3. Pick 14, future first round (which was pick 20 the following year), 24 and 37. Geelong gave picks 52, and future third round
  4. That first line says it all. Bring that, and we win this and it sets us up for the next 3. If we don't, then it says a lot about our chances from here.
  5. Thanks for the tip about the AFL website. My comment about Richmond not coughing up 5 goal leads was purely from memory. However, I did just check most of the 2019 and 2020 seasons, and could not find a game where this happened. Maybe you could help me out? What I did see was that in both those seasons they won the last 8-10 games of the home and away season. They were bullet proof, invincible almost. Not feelings I get about us this year. Which, after all, was the point of the topic wasn’t it?
  6. It’s been a struggle. Other than the Brisbane game and first half against St Kilda. Losing games after being 4 or 5 goals up is hard to swallow, especially if you are the reigning premiers. Would not have happened to Richmond in their prime. There is a level of frustration amongst supporters I sit with. I think we just expected to win this year so we could see it for real, not on a TV watching a game 4000 kms away. I don’t buy into the loading, or think we can just flick a switch. I think the issues are much deeper than that, something is going on internally.
  7. Easy fix, bring in someone who does want to play with us next year
  8. This is ridiculous, Geelong don’t cough up 6 goal leads….oh wait?
  9. If that is true that he bought a house in Perth in March, then we have a serious conflict of interest. You would have to ask the question, how committed are you son? You can argue that this is a business, but the bottom line it is a football club where loyalty is tantamount. Ask Carrie, Tracc and JV. Show him the door now.
  10. Yes he does. And every time he runs off the ground to the bench he is noticeably limping.
  11. I wouldnt mind if we finish 4th, then we get a home final against Geelong!
  12. Yes, good to be in this position. BUT, our losses have been against teams currently 1st, 6th 4th and 5th, 3 of them at our HOME ground. Massive 5 weeks coming up, eh!
  13. Agree. Missing Oliver. Our bottom 6 are nowhere near last years level. Forward line not functioning. The mental effect of the Jackson and Brayshaw situation. Port now with a real chance of finals. Port now into $2.45 from $3.10 a week ago. I hate to say this, but I think there is a possibility we miss finals altogether
  14. My speculation is that Jackson wants a trade to Freo, but Freo are in the same position we were last year with Cerra, that is they don’t have the draft picks to complete the deal. So that leaves a Freo player or two who would currently be in their best 22 as the trade. They are not going to be tapping blokes on the shoulder at this stage of the year, so this will be decided at seasons end
  15. Taken at pick 69 in the 2017 draft, didn't play his first game until last year. Is well behind Darcy, Lobb and Logue in the pecking order. If the media are suggesting he would be part of a Jackson trade, oh dear!
  16. I understand a RFA can go to the club of his choice, but his current club can match the offer. If not, the current club gets a compensation pick based on the terms of the new contract. Stand to be corrected if this has changed recently
  17. Pure and simple, we need our A graders to play blinders, otherwise we ain’t winning this one
  18. A lot of what ifs here. What some of you are tending to overlook is that at the moment we have a dysfunctional forward line which probably won't improve until we get TMac back. Come on, admit it, wouldn't you love to have a Hawkins/Cameron, Lobb/Taberner or McKay/Curnow set up right now?
  19. The Freo game is in Perth
  20. Other than the Brisbane win, our form over the past 6 games has been well below our best. Unless we can turn this around, we will not make top 4. Port will be a real line in the sand game, they are in reasonably good form and need to keep winning to make finals. Bulldogs appear shot. But then it gets really tough, Fremantle would be a strong chance to make the big dance if they can continue their form and secure top two, Collingwood have already torched us, Carlton are in this up to their necks with important players to come in, Brisbane at home. It is in our hands from here, but I don’t like what I have been seeing recently.
  21. Both Weideman and JVR in, Jackson out for good. We are not winning it this year so give those two the rest of the year. Chandler should come in if he plays well again in the VFL, Rivers or Hunt in. Bedford, Bowey and Spargo out.
  22. Serong, Young and Henry all drafted after Jackson in the top 10 of 2019. 2 of those should be the asking price. And tell him he can go back to WA now for all I care
  23. Thought he may have been given a week, no way I would suggest he be dropped, our most important small forward
  24. Gawn and Chandler in for Weideman and Pickett
  25. Wouldn’t you just love to be walking back to Southern Cross station amongst those Carlton tossers tonight!
