  1. Absolute joke. Should have been a certain goal.
  2. I think we are more than that OD, we are the ones to beat
  3. My ladder predictor says if West Coast lose tomorrow, they don’t play finals, win and they do
  4. Saints win and we are almost guaranteed top 4, as long as we beat Adelaide. Can’t see them holding this pace for the whole game though
  5. You just need to apply the red hot pressure meter to Geelong and they start to unravel. As Richmond did in the second half of last years GF. They love the short kick uncontested possession game. They hold no fears for us in September.
  6. Agree. It seems he will get a suspension, anything more than a week would be unfair. What I would like to know is what set him off? And to the posters bagging him, well you will get your opportunity on Monday night to satisfy your misguided views. Either Jordan or Vandenburg come in, let's see what they bring with regards to clearances, contested possessions, tackles and inside 50's. You can get Viney's stats on afl site to compare come 11pm Monday night.
  7. The AFL should bring all clubs to Victoria and set up hubs like Qld last year. How can they possibly risk another occurrence of what happened today? We know the WA government can shut things down at the drop of a hat, and now Queensland too. Play the rest of the games and all finals in Victoria. We have the grounds, MCG, Marvel, GMHBA, even Ballarat. We have our COVID situation seemingly under control. Make it easy for yourselves AFL, and stop trying to appease vested interests. The game today should have been at Marvel all along, it was a no brainer.
  8. This is season defining today. A good solid win can be the springboard into the next (hopefully) 8 weeks. A loss and we will most likely finish 5th or 6th and a potential early finals exit, and after the start to the season we had, this would be a huge fail. This is on the leaders today. They need to show the way and get the team back playing the type of football that is way too good for teams like the Suns. If they don't, then I have serious doubts about whether this list can take us to where we want to be. Over to you Max, Jack, Jake........
  9. I think we would need to win 3 to finish top 4. Win 2 and I have us finishing 5th or even 6th
  10. Didn't work for Brisbane with Hipwood Daniher and McStay
  11. Check in's, disembarkments, etc. 5 hours round trip minimum
  12. So we have 4 games this week, where the odds heavily favour one team, Geelong v North, Bulldogs v Adelaide, Brisbane v Hawthorn and Melbourne v Gold Coast (although GCS have tightened in from over $5 to $4.60). Which one are you backing for the upset?
  13. And flying to the Gold Coast on the morning of the game is hardly an ideal preparation. Buses and check ins probably make it a 5-6 hour trip? For the benefit of who, GCS sponsors? Make no mistake, we have been shafted here. Sure, it was always a Metricon game but not under these circumstances.
  14. The article on AFL site does not mention the Adelaide game https://www.afl.com.au/news/655064/pack-your-bags-dees-and-get-set-for-a-whirlwind-tour-of-oz
  15. I don't see how, given the Queensland Governments travel restrictions: https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/urgent-covid-19-update#quarantine-sa-vic Bring GCS here to play at Marvel, they play there the following week. How hard is this? This is a ludicrous situation.
  16. Firstly I will say that I like your confidence, and just wish I had it. But as Jake Lever said, we havent achieved anything yet. What worries me, and I suspect the majority of posters, is what we have served up over the past 6 weeks, not the first 12. Because in that time, most of the key stats show us to be a bottom 6 team, not top 4. The opportunity is NOW, not next year, or the year after. Look what happened after 2018, when we were all expecting a dynasty. And it must start this week. Remember that game against Adelaide in 2018, I think it was in Darwin, that is what I want to see this week. Not a limp 10 point win, or god help us, a loss. Do you think Geelong or Bulldog supporters would be worried about losing this week? Wouldn’t it be great to have that feeling, just knowing that you would be 99.5% confident of winning? Hands up folks, who has ever felt like that? History will tell us that it is extremely hard to win this thing from outside top 4. We need to win at least 3 of the next 4. Right now, based on recent form, that appears highly unlikely.
  17. so bring the Suns down here. They are coming the following week anyway
  18. At last, some joy this weekend! Watching those whingeing cheats lose!
  19. Don’t understand all this talk of resting players. Haven’t we be doing some high intensity loading? Aren’t we supposed to be super fit due to our conditioning coach? Are Geelong, Dogs, Brisbane, Port resting players now? If players look tired it probably means they are!! Our work rate has dropped off over the past few weeks. The competition has stepped up a gear and we have been unable to go with them. There will be minimal changes this week. Bar Tomlinson, we have our best 22 on the park at the moment. If that is not good enough at this time of the year, then it’s all over.
  20. Geez the media is having a bit of a crack at us at the moment. Kinda like they would love us to fall in a heap? Go shove it up their collective (orifices that produce bodily refuse), Dees
  21. I have nothing against ANB. I just think we need a bit of polish going into and inside forward 50. Melksham provides that, ANB was the only one I could think of to go out.
  22. Dogs don’t like the heat. If we bring it, we win. If we don’t, we get a pasting.
  23. Good work. I like the way you analysed that, not just shoot it down in flames like others.
  24. What’s confusing? Six ins, six outs. You don’t have to agree with it, it is a fan forum after all isn’t it?
  25. I just think he needs to reinvent himself. Midfields now seem to be made up of contested players with height who can dispose of the ball while being tackled. Think Oliver, Bontempelli, etc. Maybe Jack is a pressure forward?
