  1. It's all scripted... 1 point win, post the siren.
  2. Damn, Gerard has just said 'there is no ceiling'.
  3. Well there you go... just read through it. Who would have thought there were two OMAC's in the league who incur the ire of both teams loyal supporters!! "To say that Oscar is not near AFL standard...are you serious?" Quick straw poll - Is this quote about Oscar Mcinerney or Oscar McDonald?
  4. Hi @Queanbeyan Demon, these are fantastic - could you provide a link each week to the relevant supporter club page? That'd be great
  5. Yes, I do think he is a wingman, that is why he was recruited. He clearly has a range of attributes that the FD felt would compliment that role. Like all players that are dropped, they're dropped to work on specific things. Is Weideman a forward now (but two weeks ago he wasn't?) What about Jetta? or OMAC? Did you question whether the FD got it right recruiting them, when they were out of the side? I disagree there is enough evidence that he is a bad set shot kicker. He almost won us the game against Geelong. It's not as though he is missing them 30m out directly in front. He provides outlets and is a different style of wingman to Langdon - he is there to perform a range of functions. AND to say he can't get back in after the side has won a couple of matches.. .ergo this means the FD have got the recruitment wrong, just seems to be such a nonsensical statement. There will be a range of factors, perhaps look at bit deeper at the side we are playing against... perhaps the FD have looked at his role compared to who he would likely be up against this week and decided it's a week by week proposition. Perhaps the FD also wanted a settled side... heaven knows if we lost to Hawthorn, Brayshaw may have been in the gun and Tomlinson back in. Essentially, and more succinctly - the fact that he is not back in this week does not mean he is not a wingman, or has no place ongoing in the side.
  6. How do you know 'they' realise he is not a wingman...
  7. I dunno ‘Red’, whaddya reckon?
  8. I was thinking the same thing... then my head went to 'Just wait til Gawn, Trac, Weid and OMac' go down with long term injuries... how [censored] sad is that
  9. Give us a clue @Skuit
  10. Thanks for that @Jumping Jack Clennett, interesting how I can character assistant someone based on one occasion, and miss the other important unsexy stuff they do. Cheers
  11. Yeah, I think the last game it 'appeared' he shirked a few contests. Not ideal for anyone, let alone a rather large unit. Now... I'm not going along the lines of..eveyone need to be 'hard' - the reality is no one like to get hurt... but if that is the case, that it is a bit of your default...what do you do with a player like that? I personally think Tomlinson has a place in the side...weekly, i just don't quite know what the role is beyond being planted on the wing.
  12. Yeah, but he had a nice hip n shoulder on to O'meara. so that was a 50/50 I rekon.
  13. Great trawling there @Demonland - well done.
  14. Interestingly, I felt he was scared of contact where he could have marked it and Wingard got his running in to goal, goal. That was my first response and after looking at the replay, it still felt the same. I'm all for players developing capacity - and clearly the FD see a range of other things that I am not. But, good luck to the bloke.
  15. The Pineapple, Story Bridge or The German Club ...god I am missing a social bevvy.
  16. that's a [censored] 50m right there as well as an automatic report... where were the umps looking man!?
  17. I hope he is an entertainer like his old man
  18. It's like you're some modern day Nostradamus or sumthin'...
  19. Maybe because it had [censored] all to do with the media roasting...that'd be why.
  20. One of my favourite parts of the match was the early call from someone in the crowd when Weiderman went for this ...alas no sound Weid.mov
  21. I hear what you are saying @binman, and I genuinely believe this was there all along. We already had the quick aggressive ball movement, we already had the running (at least offensively) in waves. I also believe we have also been aiming to be in the corridor (as we were in 2018), but an inability to create space, or hold marks has stopped us from conversions. Slightly flippant musings.. has OMAC gone past TMAC in reliability? I posted in the game day thread that OMAC took a mark when he didn't even realise it was going to occur (perhaps the last qrt). That to me is a sign of sublime skill , or at least a player who has a great feel for the game. Someone on here likened TMAC to Dawes... what does he bring if he cannot take marks? Currently I am not sure what capacity TMAC fits back into the side unless an injury occurs.
  22. We can (can we?) thank Troy Chaplin for the improved conversions of I50's... right! right? And of course my point is, what has changed, it's not really the game plan...that was there all along.
