I thought we were rewarding good VFL form. James Strauss has been in excellent form for a month while the firsts put in an absolute shocker last week.

Pathetic...again. As someone said, I thought those humpings were finished with. Oh well.

I'm not necessarily against Craig getting the job, but I think the stats since he took over more show how far off the mark Neeld's plan was.

Mitch can have the whole salary cap to himself if he gets back playing like the start of last year. The rest can just fight over the money he leaves in the nooks of the couch when he sits down.

Trenners is busting his arse which is all I ask of every player who takes the field. But, although it has been covered on here thoroughly, he has lost a yard of pace and kicking penetration. It's not his fault but we need to hope Misson and co sort it out and he can become the player we know he can. I'm not going go berate and belittle him about it though.

Jetta is definitely an upgrade on some of our current smalls, but that isn't saying much. And besides, the bloke just looks like a complete [censored].

Tonight is a really good chance to mark any improvement since Craig took over, would have been even more so if the game wasnt being played in 'extreme' conditions. We are half a chance if we play to our best given Briabane's outs.

I like Strauss. If he plays well this week he surely comes in. I did say at the start of the year he would have a break out year and that was a dud call, so who knows, I could be wrong, but I see a decent footballer there unlike many others on the list.

Many overrate Howe, but that is over correcting it just a tad don't you think. We could have had Wayne Carey or Jesus Christ himself playing forward today and they would have struggled.

Pretty much what I am saying not in so many words. Want him to finish on a high but he has been pretty woeful for a couple of years now and it doesn't look to be getting any better.

And I know the Magner thing has been done to death, but surely as soon as the rain looks like falling he should have been straight down to Skilled to get a game. If ever there was any doubt he is finished at the MFC, being overlooked today was surely it.

I love Aaron Davey and really want him to have a quality year or two to finish his career, and I don't expect him to carve games like today's up, but some of his 'attempted' tackles were nothing short of embarrassing. I can almost handle 18 and 19 year olds like Toumpas and Kent getting brushed aside, but when a 29(?) year old continuously throws out a lazy soft arm to attempt a tackle, I shake my head.

Played the best team in the comp in front of their own parochial crowd, and lost by 10 goals (ish) which is realistically about par, even in the wet. But still, I thought that was a pretty pathetic performance. The first 10-15 we cracked in and won more of the contested ball and looked like we would hold our own, but from then on we went into our shells and ultimately got completely dominated. Only a couple held their own today. Even players who should thrive in such conditions such as Grimes, Trengove and co really failed to have any impact.

I am impressed someone can start a rumour that Storm from Gladiators is Nathan Jones' mum and have idiots like me believe it.

Interesting reading. I went Jurrah and I think he only racked up one more game after I wrote it. And I put the mocker on Zac Smith as well, although he was looking better again this year until injured.

If i supported carlton, Bryce Gibbs would be the player I would be tearing my hair out about. Classy and all that , but he is so soft it isn't funny.

I agree with the first part but not necessarily the second. We didn't pick Toumpas due to needs or best fit, we picked him because there wasn't a single judge of young talent who had Wines in front of him, and that obviously included our recruitment staff.
