  1. Sadly, that was about par. I think the effort has been far better the last two weeks, which makes it possibly even sadder that we still have had 90 and 80 something point losses in those games. We just butcher it and once the other team apply the pressure we do got back into our shells. I counted at least 4 or 5 times we had simple goals butchered by basic skill errors, only for Collingwood to sweep the length of the field and goal. 12 point f@#k ups I like to call them.
  2. The Age has 2 or 3 footy journalists who like to write fair, but still critical, articles. And yet they are the some of the least known or heard from scribes in town (for obvious reasons of course)
  3. Dependent on a decent opposing option, I am keen for a change. If that included Kennett, so be it. I am neither passionately opposed or supportive of him.
  4. Let's give this a couple of weeks and see what these proposed changed Jackson is going to make. Neeld will almost definitely be one of them but today was not the day to feed the huge pack of vultures who were salivating outside.
  5. Clearly just a man saying anything he canto try and keep his job.
  6. Each to their own, but I think tough quality mids are for more "required"
  7. Interesting and damning stat.
  8. If you offered me Prestia for Watts I would take it every single day of the week.
  9. I will be suprised if Jaeger O'Meara isn't in the best 2 or 3 players in the comp within 3 or 4 years. Ready made for AFL football, but still has great upside.
  10. Not sure about that. They have 3 very young but highly talented key forwards in Charlie Dixon, Tom Lynch and Sam Day, and Dixon was actually playing some really good footy at the start of the year before he got injured. Personally, I thought they were a bit light on down back but Rory Thompson has come from nowhere and looks the goods.
  11. Gold Coast are starting to look very very dangerous.
  12. He deserves to be paid out his contract. It is not through a lack of effort that he isn't up to it. He has every right to stick around. Those that employed him are the ones you should be directing your anger at.
  13. Personally I think he should go, but to not sack him purely because it isn't a good look after also sacking Bailey would be ridiculous. If his position is untenable, it is untenable, and needs to be dealt with regardless of what has gone before him. If he is kept on and that is the main reason for keeping him, that would be a huge concern.
  14. He has had that chance, and regardless, isolated results mean little, and it is clear his papers are stamped. The Board are simply ensuring they know exactly what their next will be first.
  15. The fact that Neeld still has a job hopefully is a sign that they are making an effort to get things right behind the scenes before making any big calls, ensuring they do it right this time around.
  16. Not sure how you can have a go at him over this article. Actually quite fair and reasonable without going over the top. Rubbish footballer though.
  17. Buckled at the knees when he said that. Sounds like a coach who is scared of publicly criticising players after past experience. There is no way any of them could believe that dribble.
  18. As Jose Mourinho said,a sacked coach is a rich coach.
  19. Question is who will be caretaker. They are most likely going to be in charge for the rest of the year. I am not sure I want someone from the current FD taking over, but we have got ourselves in a massive pickle. Would love a respected outsider to come in straight away but don't think it will, or can, happen. I have hundreds of questions and very few answers and I'm not sure those in charge have them either.
  20. Howe is literally the only player I would give a pass to. What a disgusting effort. Neeld - paid holiday starting
  21. He has failed in the first component of coaching, to even get the team up and ready to play 4 quarter football for him, for each other, for the fans, whoever. He may be a tactical genius but he never even gave himself a platform to show it, but I think we all know full well he isn't.
  22. Well I am still f@$king angry
  23. Ideally we want our young guys being in the best for a month in the VFL before getting a run. Fitzpatrick seems to have done this now so it is his time to get a run and he shouldn't get the arse after one game either.
  24. If we have a new coach next year, whoever he is, he owes Mark Neeld a pub lunch for Jesse Hogan. With no impact on this year's selections, they get a brand new ready made key forward on top.
  25. I have only seen Daniher a couple of times az_tec but he seems to have an amazing set of hands, sort of like Sam Reid, but think he might be a better kick for goal. Could be wrong but that is what I saw, maybe others who have watched him more could enlighten us a little more.
