  1. Green has been consistent so far this year I said Davey before the season, and he is just starting to get back into some form
  2. This is pissing me off so much, it is getting absolutely ridiculous. I had to listen to the Freo game on radio, and as excited as I was, it is not good enough to have the same game televised on two different broadcasters, when another game goes untelevised.
  3. TJ actually had a fair few hard ball get and laid 6 tackles, dont know wtf is goin on there. But you are right, they are icing on the cake sort of players.
  4. Yeah, unlucky Jamar, you have been decent, but PJ is simply better Would like to see both Valenti and Buckley get a game at the expense of either Bartram or Bell who have been pants IN: PJ, Valenti, Buckley OUT: Wheatley, Jamar, Bartram/Bell
  5. Well done Aussie!!!! Especially considering he was only put on our rookie list at the start of this year. More nominees, especially early in the season are high draft picks, or guys who have been on a list for a couple of years. Cale to get nominated soonish as well hopefully
  6. As far as half time comebacks go, it was the second biggest comeback ever. Only 2 pts off the record. There have been biger comebacks, but Im pretty sure they are referring to half time deficits...
  7. Wish i could have been there...I sat on the computer listening to the radio with a six pack for the first half like some kind of idiot...and even more idiotic, I stuck to it, and listened to the second half with more beer...but was well worth it. You could here the atmosphere every time we went forward. Sounded amazing. The supporters at the g are the ones that deserve to be involved in wins like that. Well Done!!
  8. Riveting stuff rhino...but in all seriousness I also said that why he had been promising, he had been nothing more than a decent player in a rubbish team, and that I couldnt imagine him turning a game like he did today. I stand corrected, he was brilliant today, I love him. I am now officially on the bandwagon.
  9. Couldn agree more. I love seeing someone whose celebrations are spontaneous and emotional, such as Wona's, compared to standing there like a [censored] with your arms in the air as if you are larger than life, which shows no real emotion, it just shows that you are a full of yourself [censored] of the highest order.
  10. Similar for m Condemned...Forest gained promotion back to the championship after a 3-2 win, and other results went their way on the final day of the season...and then to cap it off, Melbourne coming back from the dead, and breathing much needed life back into the club...GO DEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I have been impressed with Wona, but I wouldny say he has set games alight like davey did in his first year. He looks to have tidy disposal, speed, and he chases hard, and certainly looks to have a future at the club. He is displaying the qualities you expect of an AFL footballer, which I guess is promising considering there are only a handfull of our players doing so atm
  12. This thread is more entertaining than big brother house!! Yze Magic to be an intruder?? And all emo poppy bands suck arse...
  13. Brocky, you obviously dont unserstand In victoria, you will see one game on free to air and one on foxtel, but in NSW when sydney plays, or QLD when the Lions play, we get the same game on both networks. They could air it on the main event channel as they do with friday night games up here. You might think that this would only affect MFC supporters once or twice or season, but it actually occurs very often. Even with foxtel, I was unable to watch melbourne play for 5 of the first 8 rounds last year, it is an absolute joke.
  14. not that it really matters, but how could u end up on 17pts??????
  15. The way i read it was that VIS have been using olympic park and half the lexus centre. Our training ground will be developed at olympic park, while collingwood takeover the rest of the lexus centre. Also, our home facilities will be in the stands of the rectangular ground. Is that right????
  16. Yeah, you could prob add poor decision making, woeful gameplan, no forward line structure, slow midfield, undersized defence and an infinite other number of problems to my couple listed above. We are all finding it hard to pinpoint whats going wrong when everything is such a shambles. But in saying that, living in Brisbane today was my first live game for the season, and I noticed that our lack of run and chase and [censored] skills were the two things that jumped at me as our biggest concerns. Things certainly are looking terrible.
  17. I think fitness can be blamed for this (or lack of effort, or both), because our players not in possession do not run hard enough to give options either nearby by hand, or downfield by foot. Often players were left with no other option but to pop a handball to a guy standing there about to be tackled. We have two MASSIVE problems: 1) We either are not fit enough, or dont care enough, to work hard enough to provide options and chase back the other way 2) Our skills are deplorable. We will not win a game this year if we continue to turn the ball over with basic errors
  18. i think that when a lot if people saw he was injured at the start of the year they thought the worst. I thought he would be placed on the long term injury list and I thought he might hang up the boots at the end of the season. But, he is back somewhere near fit earlier than I and some others thought, and if he continues to stay fit there is definitely a spot for him. Love his attitude and aggression.
  19. It is like footbal clubs in England. Apart from the big four teams no other team really has a realistic chance to win anything. They celebrate wins in big games like derbies or qualifying for european competition like premierships. But they still follow with enviable passion. I would hate to think that we would never win another premiership, but I would continue to support and just take pride from big wins like Queens Bday.
  20. is this official?? from that IC I would say Buckley, Garland and Warnock to miss
  21. Hard to believe blokes like Garland have been playing wit chip back at sandy. Took the game on, and was one of our better players. His drilled pass to someone (possibly Green) about 40 out never went more than chest high from the ground. His kicking style looks unco, but is quite effective. As far as Carroll goes, I would say he has been on of our better players so far this year. Our defence has been under constant pressure so far this season.
  22. very very soft report not as soft as wheels though both will easily get off IMO
  23. I think we need more than Nathan Carroll to get a short back and sides to get us over the line. We need to improve vastly, even if it is only Carlton, I am hopeful, but not confident
  24. In a Paul Williams inerview on the MFC website before the North game, he stated that if Jamar didnt perform, then Meesen would come in the next week Not 100% sure on Meesen injury wise, but Jamar certainly didnt perform against North
