  1. Pretty much agree with all of that HBT. Also, on Bail, not only did he fluff the shot at goal in the 3rd, but he also hit up Green and Dunn in the last quarter with passes from a similar distance - both resulted in goals.
  2. Sorry to bring this up again, but I'm just watching the replay (Oh God!). I've noticed in the 3rd term Macdonald and Warnock both tried doing the same thing. I wonder if someone spoke to the umpires at half time and were told that it's fine. Don't see much benefit in the tactic however.
  3. I was thinking this when walking into the game on Saturday.
  4. Sorry bt, but we're not on free to air until Round 6. Other free to air games ar 7, 10, 11, 12, 15, 17, 19 and 20. What drives me mental about that (aside from the pitifuly small amount of games we get on free to air) is that rounds 7, 11, 12, 15, 17, 19 and 20 are all MCG matches which could affect our attendances and also basically means that when we play interstate, our members without access to foxtel never get the chance to see it (a blessing sometimes I suppose).
  5. Seecamp punched Brad Pierce in the face at 1/4 against the Blues in '98. Probably deserved it though.
  6. I wouldn't know! Haha was just having a laugh mate. Don't see much wrong with it. I'd have liked the boy to have a bit more game time, but the team should stay as settled as possible and Sylvia was always going to come in. Garland will probably come in next week/the week after for Bartram or Dunn. We'll see.
  7. This week's selection could be expensive for the club...it appears the club owes a few posters a medal
  8. Sylvia for Strauss it seems. Would've liked to see Strauss get more game time.
  9. MELBOURNE v ADELAIDE Melbourne B: Matthew Warnock, James Frawley, Jamie Bennell HB: James McDonald, Joel Macdonald, Lynden Dunn C: Rohan Bail, Jackson Trengove, Aaron Davey HF: Brad Green, Colin Sylvia, Cameron Bruce F: Tom Scully, Ricky Petterd, Clint Bartram Foll: Mark Jamar, Jack Grimes, Brent Moloney I/C (from): Colin Garland, Jordie McKenzie, Nathan Jones, Matthew Bate, Kyle Cheney, Jake Spencer, Michael Newton In: Garland, Sylvia, Spencer, Cheney Out: James Strauss Adelaide B: Michael Doughty, Ben Rutten, Jared Petrenko HB: Simon Goodwin, Nathan Bock, Richard Douglas C: Tyson Edwards, Bernie Vince, David Mackay HF: Jason Porplyzia, Taylor Walker, Patrick Dangerfield F: Andrew McLeod, Kurt Tippett, Trent Hentschel Foll: Ivan Maric, Scott Thompson, Brent Reilly I/C (from): Myke Cook, Chris Knights, Brett Burton, Scott Stevens, Shaun McKernan, Tony Armstrong, Chris Schmidt In: Knights, McKernan, Armstrong, Stevens, Schmidt Out: James Sellar (hamstring), Will Young New: Chris Schmidt (Brisbane Lions) Garland and Sylvia in, Strauss out. Not sure Garland will stay in and I'm not sure I'm thrilled with Strauss beign outed - but I assume the FD believe he needs to work on his game at Casey. Knights in is a big one for them.
  10. Only another 100 by next Tuesday to go ahead of last year's tally.
  11. I wouldn't say Aussie was anywhere near best 22 atm.
  12. Always been a big Harry O fan.
  13. So you wouldn't bring Sylvia in if fit? You're joking aren't you?
  14. Don't see how it's a heavier load. 22 games played over 24 weeks instead of 23, as Rogue said - pretty similar. I suppose the only problem is team's getting a week off at weird times of the year (round 1 for instance) I wonder what will happen in 2012.
  15. We need to keep Ricky. He's good at footy and he looks like Bear Grylls
  16. We had 28,174 members on this date last year. 28,099 today. Possibly the first time we've been behind in the membership comparison this campaign. Some benchmarks from last year (some of the dates are a few days off because people often posted the tracker which his moved onto the debt demolition): March 16: 24,200 March 23: 25,006 March 30: 27,128 27,595 (+467) April 6: 28,174 28,099 (-75) April 13: 28,601 April 20: 29,035 April 27: 29,815 April 29: 30,000 May 4: 30,275 May 11: 30,479 May 18: 30,630 May 25: 30,855 June 1: 31,000 June 8: 31,094 June 15: 31,294 July 1 (finale): 31,508
  17. So you agree that last year's twilight game isn't very relevant? I'd say the state of Adelaide at the moment is very relevant to any consideration of Sunday's game, but obviously it should be taken into account along with a number of other factors.
  18. Another very good game from Brad, inspirational player. In the Rohan Bail article on the website he highlights how good Green has been for him. He also mentioned they watched a highlights vid of Green's career. Can anyone with Schwabby's twitter ask him to get someone to chuck it on youtube?
