  1. Yeah, but that's coz he has rellies there and that way he could claim it all back
  2. Maybe he's forced to do this? Rock stars are supposed to be rich but maybe he didn't put away enough in his super. Anyway I applaud him for retraining himself in a different profession. Who says this club can't attract stars?
  3. Club is handling this well. Well done MFC. GO DEMONS!
  4. Interesting documentary I saw about selling ice on the street. Has parallels with our 2019 season too. Selling ice on the street, with a twist
  5. The man with an account on an MFC supporting website asks if he is normal. (laughs hysterically while foaming at mouth)
  6. Dear me. Here we see the dangerous effects caused by long term MFC supporting. Even short term support can harm. Just say no.
  7. Great example. From what I've seen as a casual observer (in golf, baseball, Aussie rules and cricket) there is a lot of groupthink and cargo cult science involved. Not to mention outright absurdities such as being barred from goal kicking practice in case it interferes with the preparation needed to win football games. Imagine a golfer being told not to practice putting in case it harms his being able to win at golf. The emperor's wardrobe is never so full as in sports science.
  8. In a small Italian village, there is a man who posts about SEN on behalf of all the people in the village who don't already post about SEN. Question: who posts that man's posts about SEN?
  9. The interesting part is why they have put him in the daylight hours graveyard shift of 12-3 when the slot crying out for attention is drive. Maher -- a natural for 12-3 where he doesn't need any content at all to gob off for 3 hours straight (some of his questions have been known to go for 2 hours) -- and Bob "Garrulous" Murphy are a dull listen. They have no chemistry and bugger all content except for that homicide basketball guy. I think Bob must be so laid back he's actually lying on the studio floor out of mic range and that's why you never hear him say anything. Dwayne won't be cheap and how many untapped rating points are out there from 12-3 anyway? He could skyrocket them up to the heady heights of 2.9 or 3.1. Macquarie was the much better listen in every slot, except for the bone headed brekky morons, until its unfortunate kneecapping.
  10. I thought that was illegal? At the least, will get you in trouble with the rozzers.
  11. Surely it was Alistair Clarkson?
  12. The club astrologer was sacrificed so the club entrail reader could get some more time in the middle
  13. THE ONLY THING THAT WILL SATISFY IS A PREMIERSHIP CUP AND I EXPECT THESE BOYS TO BE SO MOTIVATED THEY WIN IT IN JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. And the questions from the attendees: 1. Who are we picking in the draft? Why aren't we picking so-and-so? 2. How many Brownlow votes is Petracca going to get next season? 3. I've been on the MCC waiting list for ages, when will it come through do you think? 4. I went to apply for a medallion club membership and the sheila on the other end of the phone was rude and hung up on me. What bay will my seats be in? 5. When do finals tickets go on sale this year? 6. Gil talks a big game about improving things but I found some mistakes in the footy record a few times this year. How long do we have to put up with this?
  15. That's a given. The only thing that will heal the festering sore of '19 is a stack of wins in '20.
  16. From the email sent on Sep 12: "We are a member-based club, and for that reason we will have a Post-Season Member Forum every year. The forum will focus solely on on-field performance and the elements that drive our football program. This year it will allow members to hear from the leaders of the club about the specific dynamics that affected our performance in 2019. Members will hear our learnings and our planned response to ensure continual improvement. The forum will also give you as a member, the opportunity to ask questions about our performance in 2019 and our plans for 2020." I expect it to be tightly controlled and pretty much one way traffic. It could get ugly if they simply hand the agenda to the members. Pert will have experience with this from Collingwood AGMs where it was all buttoned down to protect from unruly elements.
  17. No, he needs to get entangled with a Kardashian-type family/grift outfit to really earn that label.Maybe if he got involved with people left over from "Love Island" or "The Bachelor", that might do the trick. Also his pay packet may not exactly be in line with the real Simmons'.
  18. We can't let Adem's failings as a parent cloud our judgement of him as a coach. Anyway, it's nothing a quick ride in a Jag to the Demon shop won't fix. Give him a jumper and throw in a Demons water bottle and some fridge magnets and he's ours.
  19. So she's gone half demented like the rest of us. Another soul lost. I hope you're proud of yourself.
  20. That's MISTER pathetic loser to you ..... sir (sorry)
  21. The beautiful part is, the Chinese have already installed this app on a great many Aussie phones -- not just football players -- and free of charge! Talk about service!
  22. They've all been knocked down to make way for a new training facility with pool, gym, social club, conference facilities, merchandise shop, community centre, and parking. Dan Andrews announced it on Melbourne Cup day. Training is a bit disrupted, having to work around the commotion until it's finished. Projected 3rd quarter 2020. The cars you see in the pics belong to the many tradies, engineers and managers who are working on this project day and night. Bit of a bugger for those of us who need to drive by a lot. But it's all in a good cause I suppose ... in spite of the inconvenience. The Collingwood AFLW team are going to be c ock-a-hoop with their new facility. Eddie's down there every day watching over proceedings. I don't know where we're going to move to. Maybe Altona baseball stadium, once the baseball season is over?
  23. Agree with the sentiment but there might not have been a club in '90 without Robbie. Remember the "do it for Robbie" fund in '86.
  24. It was awesome seeing him in the Big V and showing where he deserved to be -- amongst the very best. Never forget one game against SA where we were down at half time. Robbie was "swung to" (old fashioned term now) centre half forward (!!!) and practically won the game off his own boot. We hear of Millanes, Bourke/Barrett/Clay, Jezzas ... imagine the reputation RF would have if he'd played for a big 4 club. Stellar player. GO DEMONS!!!!!!
  25. So are you saying, put a sock in it, or don't put a sock in it?
