  1. I thought the 2006 Comm Games got it right when they had him walk on water across the yarra with the torch at the opening ceremony. Agree with the calls to name the premiership cup after him. There’s a nice synergy with the Norm Smith medal
  2. Judging by most post game threads, I’m surprised you’ve gone with happy. Really happy I cannot get behind.
  3. I reckon the AFL felt they needed to let this go “as a football act” because the next cab off the rank will be a player getting knocked out when an opponent takes a hanger on him and knees him in the head. Then the hanger is outlawed based on this precedent, and then it’s a slippery slope to killing the game entirely.
  4. Gus’s brother Hamish called it https://7news.com.au/sport/afl/brayshaw-brother-hits-out-at-afl-over-collingwood-bias-after-maynard-collision-c-11876065.amp
  5. People or Collingwood supporters?
  6. How dare Whately have an opinion on this, given he hasn't played the game. /sarcasm. But it's a spot on opinion.
  7. That opens a can of worms. The end consequence of this argument is that no players with past concussions will be allowed to take the field. That way the impact can be graded equally across the competition. As this isn't currently the case, impact has to be graded based on the impact to the player who was deemed fit by the AFL to play.
  8. You should also include the doggies in 2026 who won and had to play 4 finals
  9. Really flat after that one. We won’t win many/any games with a first half like that. Great attitude to not drop the head in the second half. Got a mountain to climb now, but if anyone can do it, we can.
  10. What I wouldn’t give for a repeat of our form line in the 2021 finals series.
  11. Not that he’ll play, but I reckon Grundy would absolutely [censored] his guts out to beat the pies.
  12. I have no come back when this argument is thrown at me
  13. I came here to read a thread about a potential FA and it’s fair to say this thread has taken a sharp left hand turn
  14. Hopefully Max isn't catching the train to the game.
  15. Shame, it's got a nice ring to it.
  16. Season ending injury
  17. I wouldn’t have thought anyone who played yesterday would be in consideration for Thursday, just an opinion
  18. He reminds me of Brett Lovett. He’s a ripper
  19. You can always set yourself up with a beer, some chips and the replay of the 21 granny. Never gets old.
  20. And ready to go. Jefferson might be another year away yet
  21. Maybe daisy needs a PA dazzle?
  22. My wife was dressing our back room with scarves, balloons, streamers on grand final afternoon in 2021. I was saying “too soon, too soon” I thought she was putting a moz on it. Shows you what I know
  23. Nicks has done a nice job with the Adelaide list and I reckon should be in the discussion
