  1. Clearly, the ICC have been working behind the scenes with Gil, Hocking, the MRP to ensure that cricket will never have to endure farcical rule interpretations and decisions made up on the spot. Hang on.....
  2. To all the haters and advocates of “the worst game ever”, you obviously didn’t follow the Dees in the 70’s. I went back and watched the last 15 minutes of today’s game a couple of times - what guts and poise and character was shown by those fit enough to still be on the ground. I note all the whinging this year about lack of “character” and “leadership” - well go back and look that last 15 minutes. I do not care how bad the opposition were or how far we “should” have been ahead, a win is a win. And a win in extreme adversity makes it even sweeter. A diabolical year no doubt, but give give me this winning feeling any day. Go Dees.
  3. I’m really pleased that it looks as though we will have our list fully fit and rare’in to go by Round 23......
  4. High risk with only very moderate reward, due to mind blowing turnovers and skill errors. Having said that, Clarrie and Viney were being held at EVERY centre bounce. Not one free kick. Harmes tunnelled just before the break - “play on” from maggot 14. 20 seconds later the soft push in the back - thanks maggot 2 who then warned Frosty not give away 50. Gil really has got the game in good shape.
  5. From the broadcasting partner to the umpires department that would be on of the biggest con jobs I have ever seen. How corrupt and just plain incompetent is this organisation.
  6. Walters cleared - amateur hour continues.
  7. Despite what Gil might try to intellectualize, the AFL is truly an amateur outfit - a wonderful sport (Australian Football), run by complete and utter amateurs - at every level.
  8. I note also that Jadyn Hunt and a Freo bloke got pinged for wrestling - I’m assuming that it was the one on the southern wing boundary line. Whilst Jadyn was clearly milking the “tangle” of legs, the Freo bloke unashamedly dropped the knees into Hunt’s head - right in front of the adjudicating clown. No mention of this any where in the MRP comments. No thought of a free kick reversal there! Just another example of the double standards.
  9. Clean possession and penetrating long kicks to position (including through the big sticks). Love it. Natural, instinctive footballer - coaching staff, please do not try to “coach” this out of him!
  10. I’m fully expecting a great game from No 11.........and I’m sure Max will also play a blinder....
  11. From my memory of this dark era, this is an excellent summary. I think it was Garry Baker who turned up to the first training in full beard, t-shirt and thongs!
  12. My mate on Sunday suggested that he is not necessarily the nicest bloke running around - no further details, but not sure what that means in terms of culture?
  13. Freo just stole that - but I really like Harris Andrews. What a great, no nonsense defender. Hogan does a lot of running around and pointing. (Still).
  14. I wonder what will happen to Mr Margetts this week for clearly missing the Tim Smith dangerous tackle and subsequent play on fiasco. Or to the officiating umpire(s) - in or out of the zone, who missed the blatant throw that gifted the Eagles another goal in that final quarter. Or to Mr Western Austn Umpire No 7 who paid Cripps in the back when the ball fell free in the tackle - which led to another goal. We talk about Melbourne’s poor converting (no dispute) however this unadulterated maggotry occured in that 15 minute window in the last quarter when the game was there. Gifted Eagles back into the game, then snuffed any chance we had of coming back. 4 days on, I clearly haven’t moved on. The 3 officiating clowns will no doubt be fronting up again, probably in Perth again for homegrown boys No 6 and No 7.
  15. So much to like about effort and application. Skill errors and some really dumb things (Frosty), but, when the game was in the balance for the first 15 minutes of the last, the maggots came to the fore. Fair dinkum the system is corrupt. Proud, heartbroken but furious about the cheats in green. Isn’t Vardy a choice piece of work.? Rant over.
  16. How can this corrupt organization have 2 local umpires scheduled. Oh, I forgot, this is AFL
  17. Interesting to see that The Age have not listed which clowns will be officiating tonight. I would hazard a guess that Western Australian umpires 6, 7, or 22 would be every chance. We will see.
  18. Just turned the TV on and saw the Ablett report - the deathly silence.......then the commentators in unison framing the parameters of the “defence” - it was almost as if they were reading from the AFL script. Ah! Hang on, of course they were reading from the AFL script.
  19. Outs: Mediocre In: Mediocre Simply, this has to be the game that proves that football is played 95% above the shoulders. Go Dees.
  20. It’s called AFL.
  21. Just beautiful. All of us have there is so many ways over so many years. So many stories. So much meaning. Our club!
  22. The great thing about tonight is that one of them will lose! Much to dislike about both. (Haven’t noticed a big change in the quality of the commentary narrative).
  23. Beggars belief! Mumford..... Burton..... Of course! How silly of me! We are talking the AFLclowns here!!
  24. Cue in the rack lads - all will be revealed with our performance vs Port. Then Geelong.... then....No panic yet.
  25. Dunstall has just said it all - nearly half the team out, and most of our best players. No panics yet. Of course Dermie tries to intellectualise an opposite view. Absolutely no idea what he said or what he meant?
