James Frawley Retires... And Starts Playing Again
The Cheersquad story is gold! Traditional values. Gil and his clowns wouldn’t let it happen today.

NON MFC: Round 17
So we now move to Friday night for the next instalment of a slow and agonising death........
-
NON MFC: Round 17
“You can’t blame the umpires” says Jason over the ludicrous htb decisions that just just keep coming, every passage of play, every quarter, everygame. Umm, OK, so who do we blame? Because whoever it is, they are ruining our great game.

NON MFC: Round 16
So, I guess Goody gets one more game......

NON MFC: Round 14
As with the players, the maggots are exposed in hub and frenzy football. Night after night, game after game we same the same clowns making appalling and consistently bad decisions. Tonight Maggot 11 is excelling. But of course he will running around again in a couple of days making the same appalling calls. Unfortunately, it’s not just Maggot 11.

Windy Hill 1990 A Famous Afternoon
For me, last round 1987 will always be number 1, but this one was an absolute beauty - the ultimate suburban ground experience - getting there, getting in, the game itself and then getting out. Then getting home for the replay and the sublime commentary by Robbo et al. A ripping day at the footy. Gill and his clowns should reflect on this ultimate “match day experience”.

TEAMS: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Harmes very lucky, Rivers and Hannan dead set stiff
- POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs North Melbourne

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
A Neeld like embarrassment - disgraceful. Port players chuckling on the bench. Slow, inept, dumb football. Maggots queueing up to penalise anything in red and blue - and that was just the good parts of a wonderful two hours in front of the telly on a Thursday night. Cannot wait for the time this circus comes around.

Just loving your work Colin!

NON MFC: Round 05
Hopefully we are not as bad as Freo or Adelaide - just watched 5 minutes and saw Hogan refuse to chase on three separate occasions. What a wasted or dare I say it - overrated talent!

GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs Richmond
Having flicked between the two games last night, I wonder how many of our bash and crashers (Viney, Harmsey et al) will be pinged for holding the ball under Commissioner Clarkson’s new edict. More importantly, I wonder how far into the game it will be until our collective unit realise there has been a change? Maybe just pre-game pessimism, but surely the time has come to find the “connection” that has been missing for so long. Go Dees.

Proud to Belong, Proud to Give
We had a moment the weekend before last when everyone else was playing - and we weren’t. I simply cannot imagine not having the Dees to look forward to. No matter how misguided, under performing or mismanaged the masses on this forum feel about us. Once we are gone, we will never, ever, be coming back. Worth thinking about.

Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
Just an empty flat feeling - if ever there was a time to imagine what it would be like have no Dees in the comp, now is that moment. When we get through all of this, It must never, ever happen. Watching the other clubs running around is hollow.

1988 Elimination Final
Rance on Dirty Dave in the 3rd was worse. Head down, front on - by today’s standards would get a long long break. Earl on McKenna was ugly, but there was an element of side on with Earl being “helped” into the contest by his opponent. Nonetheless both Dave and McKenna very lucky lads! Long’s was just a pre-meditated dog of an act. Saw him, lined him up and went through him - classic Sheedy thuggery. I was behind the goals that day and got a pretty uninterrupted view.

NON MFC: Round 01
Early call, but the Baggers remind me a little bit (actually a lot) of our Neeld era club. Lots of very ordinary players, dodgy recruiting and “guns” who seem to be getting no better (Dow?). It seems they have put 30-50 games into a very ordinary list, and topped up the guns with very ordinary second tier players. Cripps a star, but apart from Walsh, no one else looking like it. Cheap shot by McGovern, then fell over like a pack of spuds. Ordinary! May they continue to suffer!!!!
