What we can get from Geelong for Preuss, has been a bit of a thought bubble this week and Nakia crossed my mind half way through the game last night while pondering the need for one more small forward/outside mid. We should wrangle one of their WCE T Kelly picks eg We'd give Preuss and Hawks 2nd approx #22, they'd give Cockatoo and pick 15 or 16. I don't like the idea of a straight player swap given the injury history. we should just do a straight swap for one of their 1st round picks. They should be looking to use 1 or 2 of their picks to fill immediate needs while they have Hawkins in the premiership window

Tbf many commenters were discussing Daniher after our WCE loss when Jackson did not look anywhere near ready and Tmac was in the side and not Weid for the first 5 or so matches. Our forward line looks much better now with Weid kicking 2 goals a game and Jackson settling into his role. Still would be nice to add another capable forward. If not Daniher, then someone like a Matt Taberner, who's having a great year with Freo.

It was awhile back, but I recall nicknaming him "The Clamp" - His tackling was his best feature, they stuck. Probably why AVB mentioned him. I don't mind the idea @Rodney (Balls) Grinter , if he can do a lock down defensive job on a player that may be too tall for a Lochhart or a step ahead in pace now for Jetta, you'd put him in the team. Other players mentioned ahead of him are more your attacking half backs. He's too specialized unfortunately to not be depth. I have Smith and OMac as KPD cover. Hore as Lever cover, and Wagner and Jetta as Lockhart cover.

No, not digging this up to bemoan the loss of Jesse in typical fashion. Just passing on that: Longmuir said that Hogan will play as a defender against Carlton. Must watch TV for me, given it was said by many that they'd like to see him tried in defense, if the Freo trade fell through and Steven May did not come. Also said when he was having a run of poor form or was sooking at teammates too often throughout his career with us.

He jumps not only to win the hit out but position his body to plant his feet on the landing and accelerate in a any direction. I've never seen any ruckman do that. I'm curious though, will he growth spurt and have some of that mobility curbed? From 200cm to 208 for eg would either turn him into a football beast.. or a preuss At 200cm he might never be the full minutes no 1 ruck, but basically the best part time ruck/midfielder/kpf/KPD utility in the game at his peak, you'd hope.
