  1. OMac is going to kick 50 in the next 10 games
  2. Out of contract at the end of the year. Brayshaw for Billings? And then a first round pick swap because the Saints won't want to lose Billings. So pick 2 or 3 for their pick 3 or 4 ?
  3. We've been the Melbourne Even-Years for all but 1 of the years i've barracked for them.
  4. The only misery for me is Gold Coast not giving up that bottom position. If we're going to lose the majority of our games from here on in, it would be nice to finish last on 6 or so wins. Cmon Suns/Blues, go on a big 2nd half run.
  5. I think you're bang on Matsuo. Goodwin is definitely in the top 18 for coaching IQ's for the entire country. A good achievement. However if you're not pushing into the top 5-10 within 3 or so years you'll end up being dumped from the 18 soon enough.
  6. I still have mental images of him in our 2018 heavy loss to them with that arrogant gloating grin saying crap to our forwards. It's just the pathetic left over dregs of that premiership era on display now. They could bully but back it up with scintillating footy, but now it's just bullying without any bite. Garbage captain.
  7. They're embarrassing to watch repeat the same mistakes over and over. And with how transparent and one dimensional the game plan is, would be embarrassing to lose to. You get a sense now that the opposition are so ON to what we're doing that it would be considered a major coaching failure by any of the 17 other clubs if they were to lose to us.
  8. Let's try another hail mary but this time with Oscar McDonald at full forward instead of Tom ?
  9. Though he's not half hearted when he argues with the umpires. Looks more interested in proving to the umpire that he's correct, than getting on with it.
  10. Hannan is a player that has always gone missing for large stretches of matches, like JKH, and has fallen into the 'better player while not playing' genre of players that some fans think we need to get into the team to turn our fortunes around. Meanwhile players who they want out, like Spargo are consistently getting to the ball and in on most of the action all day and so highly visible mistakes are bound to be made.
  11. I must've said the word "embarrassing" about 20 times during that much.
  12. Tried to watch GWS vs Adel which was apparently the game of the round so far. [censored] boring. Sacrilege around here to mention it but the NBA playoffs have been x10 as entertaining. Warriors down 1-3, it's glorious.
  13. Are you watching the finals? Toronto has been incredible so far. Happy to support the non-warriors/kd team even with the Aussie Bogart in it. GSW=Hawthorn from 2013-15 to me. 3-1. I really hope they close out the series now. Leonard has been incredible in the field. I know KD is not in the team, but the way they've attacked with the extra pass to a 3 point line, or to a pick n roll with Siacam or Gasol. What a team. I really want them to win, but i kind of at the same time, dont want there to be 1 game left in the season. 3 more would be ace with Leonard hitting a 3 in game 7 at the buzzer lol
  14. He's still an improvement on JKH, who has only managed to play 6-8 games per year since his debut season when spots were easier to retain. He's a fringe player that is pushed out of the team within 2-3 weeks maximum and usually gets 3-4 goes at it per year. He's had his chances in years gone by and should be the first player to be omitted when better players return, if he's playing his standard quiet game before omission and we have a good opponent to play. I think this is just a classic case of a players reputation growing because they're not in the team and away from the crosshairs of fans.
  15. Spargo played well last year, he was an important link up cog between the mids and forwards. Jeffy was dropped last year all year, which shows you how Goodwin values that kind of link up player that plays a role. He's not playing as well this year, as he hasn't had enough quality around him to be that icing on the cake player. I think he will get better as the team gets stronger personally. I guess we have differing opinions on his value last year.
  16. Odd. Anyway my point is that Spargo is in his 2nd year and needs to be played in a big game to see if he can flourish and how that will aid his development. We haven't seen his ceiling. The other two have had enough chances and have shown a very low ceiling imo.
  17. When the delisted list comes out in 3 months, will you be bemoaning JKH and Stretch being on it and not Spargo?
  18. 2019 O. McDonald Greatest coaching masterstroke of all time.
  19. He'll have to change his name to Jak Zones if he's going to St Kilda
  20. Travis Varcoe lurking at the back of the room ready to tackle him?
  21. I don't think the Lynch or Martin deals are as monsterous as you think they are. Dusty is 800, Lynch mightve taken less just to get to a finals contending club. Then I dont actually think the MFC are going to allocate a biggish deal for a crumbing small forward. Better to develop in house or try an undeveloped player. But even if they did: the main point i made is that you did not make a satisfactory offer. They won't take our pick 20-23 or so. You gotta come up with something better.
  22. And the sad truth is that we can't make plans around an assumption that Smith, Vandenberg or Lever are on the park for the rest of their careers once fit. @bobby1554
  23. Geelong had a gluttony of midfielders where Caddy was wanting to play and that trade is actually considered one of Geelongs worst trades because they let him go for not much. It was a bizarre trade related to the Deledio request that didnt get done. It's not really a benchmark for future trades. See: https://www.geelongadvertiser.com.au/sport/afl/josh-caddy-trade-geelong-fans-take-to-social-media-to-express-anger-over-move/news-story/ffebaf85a631a1f75874da40c3ec33e1 Higgins as you said is almost guaranteed an elite 10 year career perhaps of the ilk of Ballantyne or Milne. He's not gettable at the price you are willing to pay. Richmond would want what they used to draft him AND some. They would be budgeting their cap around keeping him and again trimming the fat of their lower 16-22 to draft in more kids.
