I wonder if Lockhart's omission and a potential delisting is tied up with discussions we might have been having with Saad over the past month or 3 (As well as relating to list size downgrading) Not much point playing a small defender if he wont be getting a game next year and beyond.

Re Lockhart You have to wonder if the smiling after errors and turnovers turned Goodwin off? Probably reading into it too.much. Perhaps just boils down to the repetition of some costly decision making. Hope he is playing next year. Has great potential.

Majak played his best in defence and hasn't been played there since returning. If we have not targeted a KPD 2nd tall, then he'd be a last resort on a 1 year contract. Lock down or CHB. A majak at his best frees May and Lever to dominate elsewhere (As does OMac when playing at his best) Speaking of, Do we keep Tom Mac and OMac in 2021? If not, then he could at least be a stop-gap player that could switch into either of their roles when needed. Does Petty get healthier? Majak can be a 2nd tall if not or a backup if so. I highly doubt we'd go after him, and fully expect OMac to be backed in given the sunk cost fallacy we have with the years put in. But if delisted, then we need to start looking for another tall down back.

We've improved our ladder position by anywhere between 15 and a minimum of 6 places and Max has been one of our best players all year, all in just his first year of the captaincy. Great irony in your comment given we just beat a team that has dropped their first year captain. That is what adding nothing looks like.

If you've watched Classified all year, Caro has been extremely quick to shoot down any idea of Goodwin's job being under pressure, on financial grounds, whenever it's brought up. Whether her AFL sources are in her ear or not, and with the MCG out of action in Victoria, it doesn't serve broadcasters/AFL to see the Dees improve and make finals next year.

Leaving aside the possibility that Goodwin will coach next year barring 2 poor losses... It would be nice to have a crack at Richmond in a final, as it was a lingering question from 2018, given our style syncs better with Richmond chaos ball; How would we have gone if Hawthorn didn't take 4th? How would we have gone in a prelim v Richmond instead of Collingwood.. TMac/Cox ? or WCE at Metricon... Yes, we probably lose by 5+ goals (or 10,), but who knows.

If he bled red and blue he'd be working towards being next in line for the captaincy, be it after Gawn retires or if a new coach shakes things up, not sooking it up like an unprofessional and wanting to leave. Talk about a bunch of apologists on this forum. (If any of these captaincy rumours are true)
Kyle Hartigan a UFA from Adelaide. 28yo and not in teams future. Works well with Lever as 2nd & 3rd talls. Free, cheap and we can focus our cap space and trades on more important needs. Put Tomlinson back on wing, he can work on his kicking over summer. Now let's get another outside mid, kpf and small forward.
Wing: Josh Daicos (Unsigned) - was brought up on 1st crack that the Pies won't have much to offer. Could swoop in. Elite wingman this year. Elsewhile Polec brought up elsewhere. Reportedly on the move from Crows: Kyle Hartigan (UFA) - this is a very interesting one given Levers best form was with Hartigan as a 2nd tall Narkle or Cockatoo as an outside mid to throw into the mix. Preuss to trade. Could a matched Viney RFA bid or Brayshaw trade be involved in getting Adam Saad ? Could Viney get to the Blues to help their midfield and we could prize away Curnow or McKay? Could Brayshaw get us Taberner or their first round pick? Forward line has to be chasing one of Finlayson, Ben Brown, Peter Wright or unlikely Daniher.
We could rename ourselves to the 2020 Draftmons and target 2028 as our year.

NBA playoffs are heating up. Rockets v Lakers had far more entertaining ball movement than the Cairns dross that was served up. And then AFL finals with decent quality footy being played. Feel relieved that our season is over, no more let downs.
