  1. Note that statistically Howes was our 11-12th best player on Sunday.!!
  2. Your right LFS they have height to burn, strange isn’t it.
  3. Thanks Harvey, Kev and all posters another quiet ish Captains Run today looking forward to seeing the boys run out tomorrow. No GW today hope all OK.
  4. I am looking forward to seeing the team run out tomorrow we are all going to give the boys some support and to be honest I really love rocking up to the G with my daughters and two grandkids. I have always loved watching the young brigade the atmosphere having the Demon Army revving up the players and the skittish crowd, we have a boisterous group around us who get right into it particularly when we scent a win.😁
  5. I also like the ins this week bad luck for Spargs but thought he was lucky to get a call up last week, Disco and Howes just didn’t get involved enough (wake up boys) and Woey lacked awareness and skill, bit sad i really want him to succeed. Langford should have played last week, he is quality and you just know he will be a great player given the opportunity.
  6. For all the Coaches must go folk who are nominating this person or that person, just a little Ryder on all this mass disappointment phenomenon - are any of you Wealthy, like able to stump up two years salary to pay out a Premiership Coach because you are all over him and want him gone. Maybe you can pool your funds and make him an offer that he can’t refuse. If not maybe it’s time to have a reality check. Just saying.
  7. Thanks Ghostwriter and your DA buddy at Casey plus all posters, there are a number of players missing from the Red team including Sharp, Howes, Wowey Jnr and Disco. Could be a few surprises tonight.
  8. Stretching a long bow there Dazzle your views on Simon are very heavily slanted against him, no one outside the FD know what shenanigans went on late ‘23 - early ‘24.
  9. But we really only had three internal issues at the end of ‘23, No.13,29, Gus and of course a chronically injured No.50. Club wasn’t allowed to mention 29 and 13 couldn’t be openly discussed. What are you referring to exactly?
  10. sorry BBTD I attended all home games and finals in 2022-2023 we had excellent home series in both years, in 2022 we ran out of forwards due to injury and in 2023 we lost Gus then kicked ourselves out of the final against the Blues, what are you getting at??? Thanks Demonland I watched it last night and was aware that it was pre-taped and even though I knew he was going to cop it big time for our last quarter, I still enjoyed the watch. Hamish is a much better interviewer than Gazza who gushes over you when things are going well and ice’s you out when they are not. I must admit that Simon is looking very vulnerable at present and I’m hoping that the playing group step up to support him.
  11. Agree wwsw he’s a forward pocket specialist with a license to roam up the ground then get out the back, I would throw Langford the high half forward role he is a good mark, has good footy IQ and is a damaging kick. Give the Bison the role to make his own. Fritta has been cruell’d by injury over past couple of years, let’s get him back to what he does best, play with freedom and kick goals.
  12. PJ will go down in history as a true saviour of the MFC why would he risk his magnificent reputation. They don’t grow on trees but there will be one out there that has the steel and intelligence to reenergise the club and get us back on an upward trajectory. My fear is that we rush the decision and get someone who takes us back down the slippery slope of irrelevance. We have to get this right.
  14. So basically what you are all suggesting is don’t show your vulnerability or admit your mistakes or recognise when someone is coming out of a s..T full year that has seriously tested the club and the person holding the bag. It’s just about the wins and talking tough and no one really cares about the issues that the coach and playing group were going through, it’s not just the media everyone is the critic. Shut up Goody take it like a man just get us wins that all we care about.
  15. Great decision by Steven and the club, what a great mentor for our young backs, just got to recruit a couple.
  16. Hi ted hi red and blue forever, mentioned on AFL tonight that Steven May has signed on until the end of 2026.👏👏👏
  17. Touch wood but barring further serious injuries we could be back to near full strength by round 6.🤞🤞🤞
  18. There was a time in a different world when I was an avid reader, Sun, Herald, Age, Time Magazine, I listened to SEN religiously, watched AFL360, The Footy Show, Football Classified, pre and post match discussions, etc. somewhere along the line I have jettisoned each and every one of them and I am enjoying my twilight years much happier and less angry. I still follow MFC website, check out the AFL Matchday site and read a lot of threads on Demonland, watch all our winning game replays and that’s about it.😁👍
  19. Low IQ guy, that is a very derogatory comment, I think that you should withdraw that Kent. Do you really think that anyone with a low IQ could possibly manage the complexity of managing an AFL Football Department for nine years.
  20. Thanks HW what was the mood like on the ground, anything stand out to you.😁👍
  21. I always check out the bottom 6 but we had 8 of the bottom 10 players on the day and as previously pointed out by bing181 they had 13 of the top 21 players on the field. What has happened to Trent Rivers that would be his lowest score ever. I was expecting big things from Riv in ‘25, coaches have a lot to work with, we can’t delist them all. however great for Clayton, Chandler and Salem.👍
  22. I prefer Langdon on the wing and where’s Clayton, surely Langford on the bench?
  23. Thanks WR the team pressure surprised me I felt like they were way up on us but guess we are more critical of our own team. Lindsay leading the pressure points as well as playing a great game really shows his class.
  24. Ha ha still early days OD, I’d give him another half dozen games to see what he can produce, he could possibly end up down back but not writing him off yet.😁👍
  25. Sorry Dazzle I didn’t see it that way at all, I watched the presser from a neutral perspective and thought that he wanted people to know that Max may have had underlying personal issues in the background. I didn’t see it as throwing Max under the bus. I think it depends on a person’s opinion of Simon Goodwin.
