  1. When we are so far down the Caulfield track why would James Hird put his nose into our business, everyone outside the club waffle on. Gary Pert is managing the Caulfield Project and only he, the Board and Pres would have a handle on where we are at. The rest is pure speculation.
  2. My take on it Deestroye from one of his interviews was that he was approached a month ago that implies the club was still on the hunt until Paul Guera entered the fray so to speak.👍😁
  3. Thanks JVAM, I thought that Paul spoke very well in his first MFC interview, intelligence, experience and confidence will take you a long way but also would’ve liked him onboard asap.
  4. Cameron Schwab had three stints as CEO one at Richmond two at Dees so couldn’t have been a total write off.😳😳😁👍
  5. Thanks Ghostwriter I should have gone with my original thought(Kozzie) ha ha.👍😁
  6. I’m making a prediction here right now - Clayton Oliver, Christian Petracca and Kasaiah Pickett will be wearing Demon colours in 2026. Come what May.!!!!
  7. Dazzle it’s not like he’s been home schooled, sometimes it is refreshing to get someone in that hasn’t been modelled by the System, that way they can think outside the Box and we could do with a new perspective. He will be coached by our Board and people close to the club.
  8. Thanks wwsw actual director of racing Victoria..!!
  9. Thanks DannyZ Paul Guera has a pretty good resume CEO Chamber of Commerce, Bachelor of Engineering (1986) and Bachelor of Management (1995) Swinburne, quoted as strong Strategist and strong people coaching skills, also mentioned on Board of MRC. Will watch this space with much interest.
  10. Big thanks to Ghostwriter, Harvey Wallbanger and all posters love our training reports and special comments.👍😁
  11. Congratulations Xavier Lindsay fantastic recognition for our young gun, so well deserved.😁👍
  12. Sorry LePig but the feedback that I have been hearing is that Oliver Seston has excellent foot skills just didn’t get the ball enough, however he seems to have turned this side of his game around and is really racking up disposals. At 6’2” in old terms he is the same size as Riv, so hoping to see him get a game at the earliest opportunity.👍😁
  13. OD meant Lukar Kentfield large lump of a kid that just resumed with Casey after a long illness. Pennant coached him as a junior where he played him at CHB where he showed intent and intensity ( key component’s for a key fwd/ defender).
  14. Thanks DD those stats are quite remarkable and bore out what my eyes were telling me Thursday night we were so dominant all game, just not getting the results on the board until the 3rd quarter when our pressure went through the roof. I’m no expert but I’m thinking if you have 15 dominant players then our bottom 8 players are playing their role without getting a kick of the ice cream whereas our overall team stats are way up there. Apart from the last 6 minutes or so we were crazy good, Judd McVee was even better than I thought and so good to see Riv and Spaz getting reward for effort.
  15. I’m sorry that I haven’t had time to read the previous 10 pages but by the time we got home last night and rewatched the 3rd qtr it was after midnight and we were up at 5.00AM to attend the Dawn Service in Doreen where our grandson ( one of several school leaders) read out the names of WW1 returned and KIA soldiers, very moving and a great Service. We got to the game early so we could soak up the atmosphere and not miss anything and what a stunning and moving night it was. Pre-game entertainment, the tribute to our ANZAC’s, the two WW1 Horsemen with the torch, the Eternal Flame lit by a heroic Veteran, the Last Post, followed by the NZ and Australian Anthems was brilliant. The game was fast and furious we were so dominant but didn’t nail the Tiges until the premiership quarter where we totally dominated them, we maintained a great lead until well into the last quarter when we finally took our foot off the gas and allowed them some face saving goals. Max won the Checker Hughes Medal we got to sing Our Song several times, love the beat of the drum and chanting of our Demon Army. Crowd noise for both sides was quite deafening at times and we loved the size and deference of both supporter groups But love beating the Tiges at the G on ANZAC Eve.👍😁
  16. Agree deanox Langford, Tholstrup and Trainor all recorded equal 2nd fastest time of 33.1 km/hr so he and Kolt are no slouch in the pace department, also skill, courage, footy IQ and a booming kick make him my next favourite player.👍😁
  17. 6 - Max 5 - Bowey 4 - Salem 3 - Rivers 2 - Tracc 1 - Sparrow Apologies to JV (15 tackles), Clayton, Ed, TMac, May and the musketeers.
  18. Fr_ap Langford also showed last night that he is not slow, I say not slow he clocked 34km/ph last night that right up there.👍😁
  19. Thanks KC, Tarax Club and all posters what a great result for the boys with so many playing dominant games. How good was it watching the scoreboard tick over, particularly after the slow wind blown start.
  20. Another big thanks to Ghostwriter, Harvey Wallbanger, Turner and Fritta and all posters and special comments, a beautiful day for the Captains Run. We are really looking forward to seeing the boys run out tomorrow night, we’ve got the whole team(9) coming tomorrow night. It is a wonderful and moving occasion.
  21. Yes Selwyn said they held him back last week because of the shorter turn around this week, if that makes any sense. I’m assuming he is fit to play.😁
  22. Also with Tholstrup TTD he was off the ground for 20 minutes with concussion protocols as well. Fortunately he was OK he is such a personable kid, loves to tackle as well.👍😁
  23. Sshhhh….!!
  24. Me to, love his strength, aggression and team play. I hadn’t linked the two but the Kolt is similar to ANB just a bit bigger and more skilled.
  25. I was so happy and relieved that we were lucky enough to pick up Harvey “The Bison” Langford in the draft along with Xavier “Spreadsheet” Lindsay. I felt that Langford was top 3 material and SONS had mentioned both boys a number of times during Coates League games, they are mature beyond their years and yesterday was Harvey’s day to ⭐.😁👍
