Obviously right at this point in time, but most people are smart enough to realise our actual position at this point in time is a false economy.

Would he want to play for a bottom-4 side?

Come Whatever MAY
Seriously? So May takes issue with Frosty breaking clear team rules (and the rules of common bloody football sense), but Viney & Jones who arenât privy to the infraction are supposed to insert themselves into the situation? To contribute what exactly? Immediate honest feedback is what Frost deserved and received.

Iâm not trying to misrepresent your point, donât try to misrepresent mine. Youâre not half as smart as you think you are.

2019 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Because no one knows conclusively, but youâre aiming to select players who have a higher probability of making it. Saying that one player has slightly outperformed another is disingenuous and misses the point. If Curnow & Weideman both develop into quality tall forwards but Curnow is marginally better, it doesnât make an earlier selection of Weideman to be the wrong decision, because he probably had less chance than Curnow of turning out to be a Mitch Thorp. I might be wrong, but I think the correct way to judge a recruitment or list management team is to gauge how many hits they had versus misses, not comparing them to others who have performed better but taken later, if theyâve still developed into a competent AFL player for at least a period, and also referencing that against other players left at that pick who actually did make it. And even then, not âmaking itâ can be a fallacy. For instance, Lincoln McCarthy may have been judged a miss at Geelong for Wells, but he was held back by injuries and the performance of others he was competing with for a spot in the 22. His performance at Brisbane has shown that he was worth the selection. Likewise a player like Menegola at the cats would get a tick from Geelong (although not getting a game as much this season for similar reasons), however the original team that drafted him (Hawthorn? Fremantle?) wouldnât get the same tick, but do they maybe deserve it?

Great analogy. Just like the share market, the draft is a lottery and anyone that pretends to know conclusively is full of carp. Shame thereâs no ETFs in AFL.

Margin Call: Should we trade our early pick/s?
Yeah, nah, not sure. I doubt that the player youâd get for a downgrade from early first round to late first round, would really compensate you sufficiently to justify losing the ability to choose from a wider range of available players. You might get a role player, but I donât think youâd get a lot unless one team is head over heels for a kid.

Oscar McDonald
Petty can take intercept marks, but I wouldnât put him in the category of âinterceptorâ (and it is becoming less common with the advent of 6-6-6) and I think heâll develop into much much more. Iâm happy when Frost has been pushed out of the side again. His athleticism is an asset, but he makes so many mistakes with the footy in hand that it catches the opposition off-guard when he selects a good option and executes.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
As I said, we were a basket case! Do you recall who was in charge at that time?
-
Oscar McDonald
Iâd see Frost go before Oscar. Key tall defenders will be May, Lever, Petty with Oscar as depth.

Cooked. Nice guy, but has no place our list.

The Andrews govt didnât help us much here.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
I donât think itâs got anything to do with a lack of being ruthless or a lack of trying; itâs the fact these other clubs didnât grow out the MCG so have their own existing grounds to develop. Bulldogs have Whitten Oval, Richmond have Punt Rd, Carlton, Hawthorn, Geelong, etc... Even StKilda have Moorabbin, although they detoured to Seaford for a while. Weâre looking at a completely Greenfields acquisition in an area where land comes at a premium. Itâs simply not that easy and itâs something no other club has had to face in recent times. Collingwood came to the MOPT precinct but at a time where we were a basket case (although should have been doing the same) and Eddie had placed himself in positions of influence to take advantage of the opportunity (Vic Aths, etc).

I think this is the only real option weâll be left with in the end, and Iâve havent heard of any realistic alternatives. Iâve noticed the area under the overpass just before the bridge is currently a fenced off area storage area for heavy machinery and temp fence, etc. Not sure what works it is in relation to. A difficult and expensive build next to the Yarra with a deep basement required, although a riverside bar does appeal. Yarra council are a bloody nightmare to deal with, trade waste and waterproofing costs will go through the roof. Could be a very expensive money pit, but weâre running out of options. Sending Collingwood back to Vic Park would be the best in my opinion, but itâs dependent on them and we could be waiting a while.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Not entirely sure that loss of parkland was that great, but it was a solution that was sure to draw some intense opposition because it sounds like it would take up a lot of area. Trees being relocated is a common occurrence there and the footprint was never going to be that great. Itâs more a case of people being opposed to change in general (because theyâd prefer it to be a Saturday carpark/mudbath?)

My understanding is that Pert has spent his time on little else since starting. No stone unturned, although I think the Andrews govt used us a pawn at one stage. East Melbourne society or whatever they are called can GAGF.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JAY LOCKHART
I think he may have a similar trajectory to one we did miss in Papley (although heâs no mental giant going by his election day interview). However weâve done quite well in this department of late. The dogs & pies would be asking why they missed out on Hannan & Hore, while we still managed to get Fritsch & Lockhart.

Dees Confirm Chase for Arsenal Fitness Guru
Seriously? Wilshere for one was injured his entire career and out on loan then left permanently during Burgessâ time at Arsenal. I think you should also understand what caused the injuries to Wellback, Ramsey & others before making such an ill-informed comment. Just embarrassing.

AFL Coaches IQ Index
What about those that intermittently do both (like myself), or does your lifelong principle only allow for absolutes? So you presumably then hold little regard for the bloke youâve listed at number three, who a few years ago had blown out & had to be given a strict fitness program himself to turn it around? His brother has never been accused of being skinny either.
