Been calling for it for years, just canât see it happening now though. Weâd be stupid not to, if it was at all possible.

Dees interested in Roughead
Pathetic.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Which is why splitting pick 2 is prudent.

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
âLord Nevâ, no? Or at least implied it.

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
If he honestly wants out, and is not willing to accept his own responsibility for his performance, then is it not prudent? Also, youâd be ignoring the fact that he received the majority of those as a result of Oliverâs hard work yet the umpires are not fit to recognise this.

Adem Yze - Assistant Coach?
I wonder where this little rumour originated...

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
First time Iâve read this thread. Interesting if thereâs any truth to it, and it wouldnât surprise me. I know that he was dropped for the first 3 rounds last year to give him a rocket for being lazy, and it worked. And now this year the coaches have been getting frustrated with him again, because everything is always someone elseâs fault with Angus. One day it will probably click and heâll be a gun. Do we hang on? I donât really care, as long as we get a fair return of he leaves. That would mean Cerra & Langdon in my opinion, maybe a bit more going to Freo. Pick 6 would be ok, but Iâd rather a kid with a few years development in him. Would help spread our age profile too. Iâm leaning towards making a move, as I think we need a bit of change, but heâll need to be the agitator.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Trading 26 for Lewis Taylor? How does a straight swap for pick 78 sound?

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Weâll want more than just 12 & 14 for 3 though. Theyâre about equal value, but to GWS the earlier pick is worth so much more because it allows them to get another top echelon player before they have to use their points on Green. Bonar, OâHalloran, Caldwell, Hately, etc. - there will be someone weâre keen on that GWS will seem expendable.

Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
I think he says that because he thinks weâre applying for a priority pick, or at least wants us to think that.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Would be happier with 12, 14 and Langdon for a pick in the 20s.

Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
Barrett knows exactly what he's doing. He & Hutchy have a podcast called The Sounding Board where they discuss the media in-depth. It can be quite insightful at times. He's obviously teasing out a story where there isn't one beyond the basic "poor season" narrative, and it'll evolve into something that he can use later on. Now he just sits back and eat popcorn.

Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
I think it won't be a case of "how much trouble we're in" but rather a case of "how much money we're asking for." We'd have been asking for a few truckloads of cash to build a new training facility, and our presentation would have surrounded how sorely that is needed. Every single other club in the league has managed to over time acquire a training facility that they have full control over, and we're the only one who is a tenant in a shared facility, with offices spread across another venue 5 mins away. It's a diabolical situation, and I think a large cause for it is our supporters' stubborn insistence that we should remain based at or near the G and basic snobbishness. Anyway, to compete and thrive, we need to have our own. And it's going to cost the AFL dearly for having ignored the need for so long. Us too, but we're expecting it.

Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
"Up to" also indicates the speaker to be clearly exaggerating any supposed knowledge.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Hahaha ahhhh no. Sorry mate, but thatâs exactly who theyâd take at 2.

Callum Ah Chee
Slim to none. He wants to leave, but stay in QLD. Ridiculous.

Alex Keath
Iâd say the recent rumours that weâre close to re-signing Frost would indicate that weâre welll behind the dogs in the chase for Keath. I think weâve been chasing Keath with an eye to cutting Frosty loose.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
I'd hazard a guess that it indicates a few different things: - we're not that fussed about the quality of the draft as it progresses (you could throw a blanket over the top 10-20 after the first couple) - we'll have plenty of list spots to fill, as opposed to just taking the minimum 3 picks - we're targetting GWS' picks in the teens, and are aware of the value of an early selection to them with Tom Green as a likely top 5-10 academy selection - I'd still be gunning for them to throw in a Xavier O'Halloran along with 11 & 13 - We need picks/assets to facilitate the planned moves we have in store

There's your external review...
-
Josh Mahoney
Not even my logic, but I agree with it. I think if an external review is deemed necessary, it would demonstrate a damning lack of faith in those who hold the important positions within the club. Conversely, the lack of an external review, or an internal review, would indicate at least a moderate appreciation for the abilities of those people. Allowing and enabling the cobblers to cobble, so to speak.
