I have seen this kid play over the last two years and I am very surprised he isn't talked about a potential draft option. Talk is that he may go 3rd round to rookie. Nick is a big midfielder with a big frame on him who has a big left foot as well. Can win big numbers of the ball in the midfield and can influence a game with some big clearances. I would be absolutely stoked if we got him at pick 40. Would bet every dollar you could almost pencil him in for a round 1 game alongside Tyson and Brayshaw he is seriously ready! FWIW Shaun Mckernan is been invited to train with St Kilda. He is a key forward/ruckman. If they grab him they will use him as a full time forward and almost bet any dollar they will select Petracca at 1

I have watched him play aswell. He isn't fast. Good at getting those first couple of steps off his man but definitely not fast.

I have heard this as well. I have spoken to a Wines Sibling and they confirmed that as soon as they heard that GWS were going to overlook Toumpas Melbourne turned its focus straight onto him. Mark Neeld was personally a big fan but Todd and recruiting team thought Toumpas had enormous upside - more than Wines. Sad affair ...

Great post and I respect you for coming on here and defending the guy. At the end of the day its good from a human nature point of view that he has a job in the AFL again. He really was a very highly rated assistant coach at Collingwood just ask Scott Pendlebury. He tried what what he thought was best for the footy club and he did install proper AFL training standard. Its not like he got appointed to try and fail this club im sure he tried his best just like we all do when we head into a new working environment. All the best Neeldy.
