He might not be a leader but he can grow into one. Everyone is a leader in their own right. Adam Cooney was a smartass and cocky kid whk was always getting kicked out of his school classes for being a [censored]. Went on to win a charlie.Jack Darling Dustin Martin weren't leaders in their junior days. It hasn't stopped them to become bloody good players. What they are though are driven individuals who lead by actions and thats all Petracca has to be. But hey il take him if saints dont rate his leadership! :-D -
Salem was our first choice. It was Lewis Taylor who was our second.

No Todd Viney picked toumpas. For all the bad decisions Neeld did this was not one of them. Infact Mark Neeld was very big on Wines as he believed contested ball winners wins games. Todd Viney and even Jack Viney aswell rated Toumpas a top 2 pick. When news came out GWS were set to overlook Toump Todd Viney couldn't believe his luck. True story.

Pretty sure the testing means more the personality side of it, character leadership etc.. McCartin didn't even test at the draft camp so don't know how he is a number 1 choice based on draft camp results.
-
Still think they will take Petracca at 1 aswell. Alan Richardson is good family friends with the Petraccas so I imagine that will help his cause. Then again Todd Viney did overlook Ollie Wines...

I know it is bit of a stretch. Im still gunning for Nick Mellington though. Been a fan of his for the last two years and physically would be ready to go. -

That obviously doesn't work for him. -
Oh dear..

I think people need to accept that St Kilda will just simply not pass on Petracca. Its already had a few leaks into the media that the Saints are already locked him in. Petracca to the saints is about 99.5% done. The rest just needs to be officially read out.

Lucas Cook back in the red and blue
dazzledavey36 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I thought he was noted for his work ethic during his under 18s champs? Anyways he exactly didn't set the world on fire for North Ballarat for the last couple of year. Personally I think you will see him more in the development league then seniors. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN NEWTON

Newton will officially start training today. -
Who are your top 3 picks in order for the 2014 National Draft?
dazzledavey36 replied to ignition.'s topic in Melbourne Demons
Dont rate JKH? -
Say hello?Newton has come to the club with 5 games experience and like Michie Riley before him struggled to break into their original teams. Michie Played 6 games and Riley 9. I exactly wouldn't call that a win either. Newton still needs to prove himself he is in our best 22. Atm he is no certainty.. positions will be up for grabs between Michie Riley and Newton

Good luck dom. I personally was a fan of you and believed you had a big future with the MFC. You have done alot of us here woukd ever dream of and thats play for the mighty MFC.

Watts and Morton were mentally weak and soft and weren't prepared to do the hard work. Even to this day we are still screaming for Watts to work hard. Lever is an absolute driven and professional individual. His leadership and character is very highly rated . He is also an agro and grunt player that hates being beaten and will do everything to succeed as a top AFL player. He is being compared to Luke Hodge in the way he drives the standards and works hard on and off the field. He is a leader that will command others to follow him.
-
Theres a big difference between Lever and watts/Morton
-
His track record of first rounders isn't much chop.
-
Good to see someone with a bit of credible inside sources instead of the 'My golf buddy said this so it means it true'' that says we are locked in at Lever or McCartin and no one else.
