Have you actually seen the incident itself? Nothing thuggish or sinister about it at all.. Its two genuine ruckman going up against it in the centre bounce and it so happens that their knee just clash and Brodie unfortunately comes off second best. Draper actually has his eye on the ball the whole time. His technique is completely fine and it's no different to any other ruckman going around in the competition.

What they area saying at Punt Road

I'm still reluctant to call then rubbish or write them off. At the end if the day they still have some quality premiership players still playing and on their day they can still win the tough game. And knowing our form, I'm not entirely sure I have full trust in our squad that we can just win the games we're suppose too. Gotta respect the competition and each team we come up again. Especially now after the Essendon loss. Actually thought this would be the year where you'd feel pretty comfortable knowing you'd rock up each week and just bank in the ala Iike the Geelong of 2008/2009. -
Could be a direct replacement for Sparrow who may potentially get dropped.

He's simply not best 22 anymore and hasn't been since last year. Unfortunately when he's not tagging he's a limited footballer. Would rather invest more time into the likes of Jordon and Laurie.

Wowee.. Tmac surviving another week.

How so? -
The doggies lost their heart and soul captain in Rob Murphy mid year to an ACL and then Mitch Wallace who at thr time was playing some exceptional football as an inside midfielder.

Definitely not the forward part, but their backs are very vulnerable and we definitely need to take advantage of it. -

You're not talking about Sharon Cutajar? Aka nanna Shaz as she's referred to by doggies supporters.. -
I've been big on this for a while AJ. Seen so many talented bush league footballers running around who have either slipped through the under 18's system and been lost to the wilderness or clubs are more reluctant to give basketball athletes who have played 5 minutes of footy in their life more opportunities and better pathways. This is why I have a incredibly soft spot for someone like Ollie Seston. Plays GV football and a few school games after being cut from the elite junior pathway and it takes someone like Jason Taylor to give him a crack knowing that he may have been too good to pass up had he slipped through. Has now started his career off well at VFL and so far looks a talent and just an all round natural footballer. A lot of water to go under the bridge still but has the tricks that to potentially play AFL if not later this year but next.

Still have PTSD when he gave Petty a bath last year and kicked 4. Everytime I have watched him play he seems to play well. He did come dead last in their time trial over thr off season but his talent and scope for improvement is high. I'm a fan.

Right.... Do you even know what I was referring too? Or have you gone way too early on this again. Read some of their comments again. Example A: Just what we need, an angry, fired up Melbourne on the rebound.. We usually rebound well after a bad loss. Are they wrong here? See which side Max is going and tell Miller to b-line it to the other side, no way Max keeps up with Miller. Can't let him sit behind play, have to play him smart or physical. Again, they're not wrong once again.. their ruckman will need all the luck they get trying to combat Max and Brodie. Our backline is miles away from our best lineup but realistically their fwd's are pus. Young/ Van Rooyen is a good matchup. Grimes/ Fritch should work. Yep, pretty much agree with them once again. Their backline is a shambles. I'm happy to keep pointing them out for you? -
Lol..

Mitch Cleary on the tradies podcast stated that the deal with Kozzie from the Melbourne camp is that its really close to being done. There's been a shift. "Tracking the right direction" with the club and his family being on board. https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/tradies-6-clayton-olivers-secret-phone-call-to-a/id1676700145?i=1000609495885 Talk starts at 7:55. -

Exact feeling I got as well. -
Can't say I agree with this at all. Our 3rd best mid is currently playing off a half back. He's no where near ahead of Viney as well. Harmes best position is as a tagger. Unfortunately for Harmes, Goodwin barely runs with a tagger now days and prefers to back the midfield system already in place. It's why Harmes over the past few years has been phased out to a half back and forward.
-
Can't say I have a great deal in trust with Harmes when the opportunity presents itself. He's form has been pretty poor since he was dropped and relegated to sub duties last year. Can be sloppy with his ball use and his continued don't argues which results him getting pinged doesn't seem to have clicked inside him that they don't work. Did what he did at VFL level as expected but like @JimmyGadson mentioned, one game shouldnt justify an immediate AFL selection. Laurie deserves his opportunity far greater then Harmes.

Definitely not him.
