  1. Think it's fair to say we won't see Grundy again this year unless injury to Gawn. Forward experiment hasn't and won't work but I think for he's sake he'd be silly not to seek further opportunities elsewhere.
  2. Hibbo isn't named emergency. Smith will go forward, Tommo down back and Laurie as a midfield/forward. Jordon will be sub
  3. Absolutely love these changes btw!
  4. Nail on head mate, well done once again 👏
  5. Mark Williams coached him at Werribee. I think we've certainly put the feelers out to his management knowing Brown and McDonald will be on their last legs/retire.
  6. It tells us that we're simply doing just fine without him and he's not highly influential as some on here are making him out to be. It's telling enough that Simon Goodwin has been willing to drop him a couple of times this year and preferred Chandler who's made greater impact from an offensive and defensive aspect. Personally I think he'll come in for Jordon which I think is the wrong move because playing 4 smalls hasn't really worked for us this year imo.
  7. Our win loss ratio when Spargo is playing this year is 8-5. When he isn't playing it's 6-2. We're just fine without him thanks.
  8. As evident against Brisbane where he turned it over badly in our front half and gave Brisbane all that momentum to pile on 7 of the next 8 goals for Brisbane. I also think he's body language this year has been [censored] poor this year. The constant waving of arms and screaming at his teammates to give it to him when even he's not in a comfortable spot himself has been poor from his end. He did this to Kynan Brown who on the weekend who in fairness should have given the hands off, but instead of going up to him and patting him on the back he had his arms out and shook his head out of frustration. Didn't even go up to him and explain so which was disappointing. No coincidence that we haven't seen him since Brisbane and hopefully it stays that way.
  9. Yes. Fritta will be ready next week and based on form it's a direct swap for me.
  10. Correct, he's been dropped.
  11. Don't stoop to his level with this sort of stuff mate.
  12. I'd like to see them give Bailey Luaurie a go in place or James Jordon
  13. Ok bro. No go take your meds and have a lay down.
  14. Extremely proud. Sometimes you need to experience the heartache to then go on and experience the absolute highs. We'll get there.
  15. I'd take him as a rookie pick.
  16. There is an element where from a teammate perspective you definitely take in the significance of what a player's milestone especially when it's your skipper. You certainly build yourself up for it mentally know deep down you want to try that extra harder. Though when you're out there playing in the heat of the moment realistically you're pretty much treating it as another game. It's different with the buddy scenario because that's a send off game for a highly influential player of the game and then there's finals aspiration at stakes with the Swans. They'll 100% be going in mentally knowing that finals will be their top priority but also wanting to send buddy off on a good note and celebrate his career in fashion.
  17. We will best them comfortably. Gawn and ANB's 200th and 150 games respectively. Why wouldn't you wanna get up for these two lads.
  18. I think they have every right to believe. I mean, why couldn't they? Have some star factor still to return and history will say if you're hitting strong form going into finals then that will hold you in good stead. They can absolutely go deep that's for sure.
  19. I have no words.
  20. He didn't play on Weitering but..
  21. Well realistically you're not dropping anyone out while Gawn is rucking. But, he's a big solid lad who's got a decent leap on him. He'll benefit having a full pre season under his belt and I wouldn't be surprised if he breaks through for a couple of games next year purely because we'll either give Gawn a chop out of rest him if need. The fact that he's performed well against some pretty seasoned ruckman in the VFL comp will only hold him good stead going into next year. He's also got a pretty good mentor..
