Rest? It's round 4 mate and he's one of the fittest guys on our list and also best starting 18. We're not resting blokes purely for the sake of needing a rest just to open a spot up. Not only that it's the reason why our forwards have functioned so well this year because it's the likes of ANB who is able to get up the ground and create the space behind, but also provide an extra link up option from mid to half forward With McGovern out this week I'm fairly sure Petty, Fritsch and JVR can easily kick a winning score. Out: Brown In: Pickett.

Did you have a gut feel on what location they may lean on? Caufield to me sounds like a prime spot.

Brown out and Kozzie comes in. Wish I could really find a place for Howes because I thought he was brilliant on the weekend. When you beat a potential top 4 team by 50 it's fair to say there'll be minimal changes. Hibberd could be a watch this space especially if it's Achilles. Absolute pain in the [censored] to manage especially when you get into your 30's.

That towering mark he took in the last showed a little glimpse of that players only need to sit it up in front of him as he is hard to stop with that long arm reach. Worth persevering for another week.

Agree with this wholeheartedly. Really loving this coaching from Goody so far this year.

He won't play AFL this year Pickett. They'll give him the Van Rooyen treatment where he'll spend the whole year at Casey with zero pressure and zero expectation. I think competing against the solid bodies at VFL level will do him wonders for a year. He's definitely off to a good start but!

Practice match instead.

It was certainly noisy after each goal.

Goody confirmed Brown had a stiff back yesterday but pulled up fine this morning until it aggravated again in the first half. Reckons he should be right for next week but with a 4 hour Perth trip I wouldn't risk it at all. Manage him for the week off. Hibberd had an Achilles but should be fine.

Well done Brodie Grundy. Ia was still critical of his performance against the Lions but je certainly played like the Brodie we know he's capable of. Gave us some good use and provided some good follow up work. Jordan's performance means Harmes is now depth imo. Came in and did a role and did it well. His work rate is extremely high and works hard defensively. That was the Langdon we know. Good to see him back to form. Hunter is a bloody gun! That kick to Chandler completely turned the game our favour. I've never seen a kid never panic like McVee does. Super composed and some of his one on one's battle that he won was incredibly impressive. Honestly I'm blown away by his development. Some would easily say that if you watched some of his Casey games last year you wouldn't have been surprised if he was playing suburban footy this year just purely how raw and out of his depth he looked. Well done Juddy. Rivers intercepting marking was very impressive! Very courageous player and doesn't take a backward step at all. JVR.. enough said, the kid is a beast! Has cult figure staus all over him. So happy for Chandler. I was screaming for his inclusion last year but he's worked extremely hard and is now getting rewarded for good form. His pressure and defensive work is impressive. My only negative is Viney. He was incredibly poor and just completely butchered for a senior player. It's time the coaching staff start getting midfield minutes into Sparrow (who was impressive in limited time as an onballer) and use Viney more up forward because when Sparrow comes in I feel he generates good clearances and drive in our midfield. All in all probably one of our best performance since 2021. Watching West Coast now and they currently have one on the bench half way through the 3rd quarter. Percentage booster hopefully.

That was seriously fun to watch!
-
Viney is a liability in the midfield. Just coughs it up way too easily. A few more cleaner forward entries and quick reaction to the turnerover and we'll get the Swans.
-
We've learnt absolutely nothing from last week's stoppage smashing. Some serious heat need to go on Yze and the mids if this doesn't improve throughout the game.
-
Honestly did not see this coming. Playing well so far.
-
Howes = Wow 33 disposals and 16 marks. Play him against the Eagles.
-
Howes and Tomlinson are clear BOG's

Jefferson with his 3rd goal

Andy Moniz-Wakefield for the 2nd week in a row has impressed me a lot.
-
I'm genuinely just as stunned. 3 weeks in a row now for Melksham even after a pretty pathetic performance from nearly a full game last week. It's obvious now they're trying desperately hard to get him to 100 games for the MFC which whatever... but it should have been spread out throughout the year.

Smith is injured but melksham was the emergency and is not playing for Casey.

Melksham confirmed sub.........

No. Played at South Croydon last year.
