  1. I get the point you were making. We were bad in the 2nd half of last year. Yep, totally get that. We've improved this year. But we've also played 3 of the worst sides in the comp who really are VFL standard so of course alot of our numbers and keys stats will jump up. I still reserve judgement on us as a whole until we can show we can beat a top 4 quality team this year without getting smacked around the clearences and stoppages badly like we have. Right now, so far on both occasions meaning Port and Brisbane, we've been incredibly poor in both performances.
  2. Him being out didn't affect us at all. We still won the game that he missed. A game we knew we'd win easily and simply get the job done. It was simply one game. It's not worth even putting him amongst the likes of Lever, Salem, Petty and May who actually missed significant games during the year against quality top 6 sides.
  3. Oliver missed one game last year which was against Port Adelaide where we won.. All good teams have injuries. Richmond lost Rance to an ACL at the start of 2019 and won a flag. You're making excuses now.
  4. Sorry, but those stats were damning. As King said, taking away the 3 incredibly poor teams that we've played this year and we're poor for some critical stats that have made us top 4 quality team the last 2 years. It's concerning for me because since the 2nd half of last year we've been poor against the top teams and it's creeping into this year already. The stats showed that tonight.
  5. This is fantastic news! To hear the Woewodin name streaming down the field will be heart warming.
  6. Craig Cameron an architect for their success?? Oh please lol.
  7. They are cooked.
  8. Reiwoldt, Cotchin and tarrant to retire at the end of year. Dusty, Grimes and Lynch are slowing down. No first round draft pick this year after spending on Tarranto and Hopper. Hardwick is smart. That cliff os coming quick then some thought.

    It's a muscle strain.
  12. Looks like Jake Bowey will be fine to play this weekend. Just a bad cork in the calf.

  15. Playing injured for majority of the season and still well on his way to a 45 goal a season.
  16. He'll fit in well with the rest of our mids then.
  17. Hence why I said it's hopefully on the minor (small strain) side of missing a week or two...
  18. No way Oliver is able to do these straight away after a hamstring tear. A tear has too much discomfort when walking etc. It's either badly tight or at least a low grade hamstring strain which could be 2-3 weeks max.
  19. [censored] it, get him in.
  20. Luke Dunstan?
  21. This isn't in Gawns DNA. He's not a physical ruckman that's out there to hurt other opposition ruckman. He's never been like that and I don't expect him to all of a sudden change that in his game. Just needs to go back to the basics that's made him a champion ruckman. Work rate and contested marking is he's number 1 strength around the ground. Less flopping too please.. He was non existent against Port unfortunately, but backing him in this weekend to have a ripper.

Dangerfield also missed 6 games last year and yet they only lost 4 games for the year. It can still go the opposite way. I still think we can beat Freo and Carlton. Collingwood are just a different beast unfortunately. If we can go into the bye over the next 3 weeks without Oliver at 2-1 then I'll happily take that.
  23. We're top 4 for majority of these stats because we've already played 3 of the worst teams in the comp plus two very average teams in Sydney and Richmond. Anyone can bump their stats up when you're playing Hawthorn, West Coast and North. The pattern of concern is that we simply cannot get the job done against quality top 4 sides. Got completely smashed in clearences against Brisbane and then to see it all unfold again against Port shows that there is still a level of inconsistency and inability to mitigate the damage when teams get a roll on. Beat us in the clearence and you can score quickly against us just like Hawthorn did in the 3rd quarter. If we can rectify this from our game then yes, we too can score quickly as shown in the 3rd quarter against Port.
