  1. I hope the poor kid and his family aren't searching the MFC website for a write up. 10:30pm and still nothing on the kid. Pretty poor.
  2. You'd be delusional to think that our midfield doesn't need topping up. It's still absolutely an issue and will need to be addressed over the off season. A win again a bottom 4 side only puts a band-aid over the cracks for now. Ps, I actually like this selection a fair bit.
  3. Big talk aggressive key forward who was certainly unlucky not to get picked up last year. Vice like hands who isn't afraid to crash packs and has certainly shown that at WAFL senior level. Love this pick.
  4. I hear Collingwood are also quiet keen on him and they have a pick before us.
  5. Reminds me of when I first watched Jesse Hogan's junior highlights.
  6. How is he not in All Australian discussions?
  7. I like this a lot.
  8. We are also interested in Saad El-Hawli from the Northen Bullants.
  9. Cooper Trembath
  10. AFL Mid-Season Draft: Top picks and draft bolters
  11. I'm with @DeeSpencer on this, I love the fact that he attacks it hard in the air. For a guy his size he isn't afraid to crash packs and then apply defensive pressure. It'll click for him and when it does he'll be a weapon.
  12. Yeah I've had a brain snap there. Meant Stafford sorry.
  13. Unlike others, I haven't written him off. Some guys develope at a different rate to other. I learnt a big lesson after stating on here when I watched Judd McVee at Casey that he would be the first to be delisted and will end up playing country footy back in WA the following year (2023). I honestly thought he wasn't much chop at all but how wrong have I been proven.. I look like a pelican after those comments. It's a lesson just to not write them off completely and to be patient with their development at VFL level. I still think he's still fair bit off AFL level but if he can continue to put in 3-4 goal performances like this on a consistent level then why not hey..? He's certainly on the right track in my opinion.
  14. So what's AMW situation? Would be great to know what's holding him back from making his debut? Just looking through his stats the last few weeks and they look mighty impressive.
  15. For those knocking McAdam, whilst he had a quiet one, he still laid 6 tackles as a forward which would still please Goodwin and Chaplin. Had an almost type game today. It'll come to him, still trying to learn a new system and especially one where we aren't great with forward delivery. I reckon we'll see him break out come Kings birthday weekend against Collingwood.
  16. Isn't he like in his 30's?
  17. His highlights from today. VFL Showreel, R9: Matthew Jefferson highlights https://www.afl.com.au/video/1139897
  18. McAdam was disappointing but still laid 6 tackles. Another game under his belt should hopefully have him primed for Kings birthday. This will be a pretty tough game. Freo have their contest game back on track again and their ball movement off half back has really killed teams on the offence. Petty's foot is obviously cooked so it's looking likely that Ben Brown will come in for him being the only change.
  19. Last 5 minutes of [censored] defending. How disappointing. Have just lost some important %
  20. Put them to the sword.
  21. And Simon Goodwin
  22. Rubbish game of footy
  23. Yeepp... going to be a star this kid and have called this from day 1 since his junior days. He's always had the athletic power and speed but his general footy nous is starting to come together. The one that got away unfortunately due to AFL being so reactive off the Jamarra selection.
  24. This is a very popular term that gets used a lot in AFL circles and suburban and country league level Playing the quarterback role, it's pretty simple term where it's based around using a half back flanker that is an elite ball user who can set up from half back through pin point disposal or provide run to create overlap and gain metres. Guys like Lachie Whitfield, Kiddy Coleman, Adam Saad are some who are elite in this area. Salem and Bowey are two for us who have played that role for us over the last few years.
