  1. A tiny bit of perspective on what future oppos can latch onto: after the horrendous rounds 1-5 last quarters - not only in points differential but also in scoring shots (16 to 36) - rounds 6 and 7 scoring shots have been in credit, 12 to 11 (1.6 v 3.3 and 1.4 v 4.1)
  2. From the Blue Ribbon Foundation website (PG a director there): "Paul is the Chief Executive of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). He is an internationally experienced leader having held Managing Director/CEO and Chairman level roles across Australia and Asia Pacific. "Paul was previously the Chief Executive of the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), best known for producing the Royal Melbourne Show, world class food and beverage award programs and venue management and activation of the Melbourne Showgrounds. "Prior to this Paul was Managing Director Asia Pacific for Optum International, a subsidiary of the United Health Group, one of the worldโ€™s leading providers of health services. Before joining Optum International, Paul was the Victorian State Director for Vodafone, and prior to this, he held an extensive 17-year career with Motorola finishing as the Director and Vice President for Motorola Asia Pacific. "Paul holds an honours degree in electronic engineering from Swinburne University, a post graduate diploma in management with a major in marketing and has completed several short management courses in the USA. "Paul is involved in several boards, not-for-profits, and start-ups. Paul is also an Australia Day Ambassador and a proud Victorian."
  3. ...until the SRL is completed - runs right past it. Anyone's State voting preferences affected?
  4. LJ's career average 14.1 hitouts, 4.3 to advantage, boosted by his increased role at Dockers (e.g. 2025 to date: 33.0 and 11.8). Fullarton 10 and 4 on Thursday.
  5. Sticks head above parapet... I haven't seen the replay yet but the Fullarton feelings seem strong, here and over on '3 words'. Does the following count for anything 'within the four walls'? Would JVR or AJ provide the same % of ruck contests and/or hitouts to advantage?... Max 34 hitouts from 65 contests, Tom 10 from 24; Max 10 HTA (28%), Tom 4 (43%)
  6. Because of that experience, I wouldn't now go to any Collingwood game again (and won't get in to our GFs anyway). The mass behaviours were truly appalling and upsetting.
  7. Not true, of course, but rather clever! ๐Ÿ˜„
  8. Interesting in a 10-point, equal-scoring-shots game. One rather pleased coach and one not so much...
  9. Well, Thursday night and beyond, he'll at least get the armchair...
  10. Watching the replay now. Petty hobbling and wincing on a number of different occasions. Anything in it?
  11. Might need 4 finals this year. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
  12. Speaking of signs, what was Harvey Langford's 'peaked roof' sign after his first goal about?
  13. ..and, even without that, we're still only 2 games and % outside the 8! Maintain the rage, 'Landers!
  14. melbournefc.com.auLatest Video | Melbourne Football ClubWatch the latest interviews and highlights from the Melbourne Football ClubInteresting: No 'first win' guys in the middle; all part of the unified circle (bit of love saved for the break-up, e.g. Tholstrup for Sharp)
  15. (c.c. @Queanbeyan Demon ) "Manโ€ฆ I really want Pickett. Forget premierships, heโ€™s just exciting to watch. If that was an audition he passed in every sense" It may as well be me... Was this in Koz's motivation kit today? (I do remain in the 'He Stays' camp)
  16. @Deespicable, re your "6. Bowey - I don't think i have seen a better defensive first half from any Demon in a long time", nice one ๐Ÿ˜Š. I do very fondly remember his from-the-get-go performance in the '21 GF, as a 19yo(?) in his handful'th game. Pound-for-pound an equal with today?
  17. Maybe not the 6 votes; perhaps 4?... This thread.
  18. Poor Goodwin; can't catch a break! ๐Ÿ˜„
  19. "Ultimately if I'm not coaching here next year, I won't be coaching" ...next year.
  20. That threads like this pop up occasionally.
  21. I was actually interested in thoughts about the last quarters. The presser / first quarter reference was just a sort of context introduction to that, which I now regret...
  22. This has probably been touched on elsewhere, but not overly obviously. In Goodwin's presser yesterday, he made a point that the first quarter needs to be got right. But what about this in the first 5 rounds?... Us 1.2, them 3.4 Us 1.2, them 8.1 Us 2.2, them 6.2 Us 0.3, them 4.2 Us 2.2, them 5.1 Yep, the last quarters, outscored by 20 goals. Little to no media questioning. Little to no acknowledgement.
  23. 'What are the best results for the Demons?' ...i.e., that keep us somehow remotely in touch. It's come to that, hasn't it ๐Ÿฅบ
  24. Any word on the little'un's hair? (Nice one, Natalie and Bayley ๐Ÿ˜Š)
