  1. Good(?) ol' GOOGLAI: Fred Campbell, Swans 1999, Saints 2000.
  2. Thanks, again, @BLWNBA. TAM doesn't look too shabby, then, and he's got a few of those names covered, it seems? Goes to show what a complex task recruiters face.
  3. Define 'clue'. And stop laughing at us, @Demonstone and @Palace Dees.
  4. Very interesting, @BLWNBA. Thanks for that effort! So, best of the FWD or RUC/FWD lot, it seems? Are there any of that category in that top 50 with higher Nats points, that other, earlier, pick-holders would take? (p.s. 'Wes Walley'? What were his parents thinking?!)
  5. This. So important. Of course, requires us to be in that situation again in the first place. The alternatives are, 'nowhere near it, behind' and 'nowhere near it, ahead'(*). Is one of these more likely than 'close' in 2026? Except for maybe a small number of the former, hard to see so. There'll be some skills needed to go with the attitude, too. (* I have the 2025 Saints game in 'Ignore'...)
  6. Where does his 74 ranking points in the Nats sit relative to other players(*)? Noticably 'solid' unit for his age. I know this is now a touchy subject, but will body weight control be a challenge? Certainly a manageable one in an AFL system but it would add to the importance of the player being mentally suited to that system. (*I see Kalani W. was 37...)
  7. Who has ever played pool in a tent, let alone comfortably!? So, not only missing something puzzle-wise; in life, too!
  8. Will someone hurry up and complete the podium? Please? I fear I might be losing any touch I might have had. Both for puzzles and with reality...
  9. You're doing it again!... Patronage will get you only so far before... 😄
  10. Don't tell me you found an internet registry of AFL players' navels...
  11. The thing about clues is, Cluer: Geez, I'm practically giving it away Clueless: Whaaa? This I now know.
  12. x2, Clint. We should have Giants, Dockers, Dogs, Swans, Blues, Saints twice and the rest once. I reckon 5/12 of those twices and 5/11 of the onces is feasible. That's clear 11th in 2025.
  13. So, @Demonstone, @beelzebub, is it?
  14. Impressive on first impressions, @Little Goffy! I shall not be fooled by the optimism (pessimism?) of your title! Thinking cap ON!
  15. Apologies are in order maybe? I really will try for actual easy next time! If there was an ability to format with closer spacing of the names within the words, it might have been more obvious they were words. But, alas... So, anyway,

  17. Got me thinking: is Kate Hore from Queensland then 😲? https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/1925019/rd-12-clever-hore-threads-home-a-stunning-dribbler?videoId=1925019&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1761995820001
  18. Well, this fizzled somewhat, didn't it! Let that not tarnish @beelzebub's gold, nor @Demonstone's patronage, nor @Ghostwriter's unfruitful doggedness, nor @Little Goffy's or @La Dee-vina Comedia's willingness to dabble (nor that of any other silent wonderers should there have been any...) 19. The stat about Tayla and goals against all teams prompts another observation: the two top goal scorers in the 12 home and away rounds are both from one team, Port - Indy Tahau 25 and Gemma Houghton 23. Eden Zanker(*) tied for 3rd exactly, with North's Tahlia Randall(*), on 22 goals 12 behinds. This says something about the comp but I'm not sure what: that the 10th team had the 2 top scorers while the 1st and 2nd teams had the next 2. FWIW, North's 2nd and 3rd scorers were on 21 and 19, while ours were on 18 (Kate) and 14 (Tayla). Not too different, but the spread thereafter... (* 'Mini-matches' beckon through the finals series, then; first to overtake Tahau and Houghton, and then between Edie and Tahlia. Or Kate to overtake them both??)
  20. It may as well be me: have a look over on the Club's 'distaff' side, sam! 😄 But I know what you mean 👍
  21. Hmmm... Me? Or you? You'd get to return the favour and host @Ghostwriter then! But looks like we're all safe, though: Lions piling up the scoring shots, but the wrong sort! 😄
  22. ...or, should the Lions keep the Pies scoreless and slot 30 goals themselves in the remaining 3 quarters, we'll have to return to the scene of our Premiership glory.
  23. Sadly, they're pretty easy dots to join, aren't they, G?
  24. @Demonland, I'm wondering if the 'F/S' could be dropped from the thread title. It always looks like 'FFS' to me, and (for most on here, anyway) that's not what we feel?!
  25. What does it mean when 'rival clubs link' a player with us? I can't think there's a positive, supportive motive?!
