  1. Looking at the AFLCA votes leader board, shutting down/out Jasmine Garner will go a long way. Time* for a tagger? Who? * Also, time for 'AFLW Rd 08: vs North Melbourne'? Whose turn?
  2. Has there been any analysis of which shots were most problematic in 2023, both relatively and absolutely? Set shots, subsets angle and distance? In play, subsets running and snap? Kick type, subsets straight and round the corner? This might inform the type of coach experience / skill set.
  3. (😁 A typo no doubt, YB, but...) To any who think his career so far hasn't been up to AFL standard, that'll be good news!
  4. Would Blake Howes swap his Shane Woewodin / Shane McGrath 22?
  5. McAdam's in. Close thread. 😁
  6. And here's how you do it, Kossie. Keep trying! 😊 https://www.google.com/search?q=shane+mcadam+speccy&oq=shane+mcadam+speccy&aqs=chrome..69i57j33i160.16327j0j4&client=ms-android-samsung-ss&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#vuanr=4
  7. I'm bereft. That's a cumulative half hour a day I now have to find something else to do with! But welcome, Shane, to you and to your fairly successful first name, MFC-wise. As to your surname, we'll endeavour to get it right by the time of your 30th goal in 2024.
  8. It'll eventually be in someone's auto/biography. My bet's on Max's. It'd be the most entertaining. Simon's or Brodie's might have a 'different' slant? Or maybe it's drilled into in 'Gus & Gawny - The 20th Anniversary Edition'?
  9. I inferred that the 4 clubs would then go on to play in the second week (in the other clubs' 'Round 1'), have a compensating bye in the following weeks, then go on to also be part of the mid-season bye arrangements ( meaning, for MFC. as we know, a 9-day break between 2 interstate trips...)
  10. I'm afraid not, Old. The women's games are worth 8 points
  11. And the only reason they can think of is that it pits Brodie against us. Sheesh.
  12. So the season gets longer by yet another week? Won't be any need for pre-season soon; Christmas Eve grand final, a split Christmas / New Year bye and on to the next season. A voracious appetite, has the AFL... Mind you, if it forced compression of the trade and draft period, that'd be a blessing...
  13. Not yours, Trigo; Closed Captions and a softly spoken (under great duress!) Tim Lamb. Lloyd Bridges: that's how to evolve a career! 🤣
  14. Glad to hear Daniher, Hipwood, etc are having skinfold problems, then (though not if it contributed to their GF loss...) Lamb actually said 'queue' but dear old 'Closed Captions' thought better...
  15. 😄 But tell us how you do feel, DG; don't be snaky. p.s. ZeroHangar has Dogs, GWS and North as the clubs having the fancies that might warrant it...er...him.
  16. Nice. And very pleased for Angus and those around him. (Though, 'someone'?!)
  17. Sorry if I've helped excite this response, Red. Just to be clear on my 'contribution', I was presenting others' statements, presenting a relative picture of 2 injuries, both stated as Lisfranc, one with known consequent timings and outcome, the other with as-yet-unknown such consequences, with no personal opinion expressed. @WalkingCivilWar can speak for herself on this. But her unique(?) connections do provide an insight of some worth. [p.s. I won't pretend MFCSS wasn't an evil angel on my shoulder as I strove to be straightly factual!]
  18. OK, so let's keep this thread motoring along with this: Tom McDonald's 2022 Lisfranc was assessed as 'low grade' (MFC - definitely). Harrison Petty's has been assessed as 'high grade' (MFC - apparently). This is at least relevant to plans, either from within current playing stocks or via trade and/or draft/s, for coverage for Harry for a period of time.
  19. ...which goes to my other 'update' question: what is Adelaide, not the media, actually saying?
  20. Couple of update questions: 1. What is Adelaide Football Club itself - not any media speculators or opinionators - currently saying? 2. How's Harry's hoof?
  21. Perth (2021) and Adelaide (? and ?) take offence! 🙃
  22. Well spotted, 31! Perhaps it should be retired, having (since Matthew Bate) adorned Mitch Clark, Chris Dawes, Jordan Lewis, Luke Jackson and Brodie Grundy!
  23. I think it's Kate Hore's turn again next week on the '5 goals' roster?
