On the other hand, @La Dee-vina Comedia, this!

Welcome to Demonland: Max Heath
Thanks, LDvC. It was Twomey that put it to Lamb in today's interview that he had the opportunity to be first, and the Heath deal arrived so soon after. Darn those Eagles and Saints scalliwags!

Hullo, Max Heath. Goodbye, this thread.

Welcome to Demonland: Max Heath
Noice! And evidently more comfortable up forward than other previous ruck experiments 😉 (Doing a number on the Bombers, @Ghostwriter - will he be your new fave?)

...and I believe that is history-making: the first trade in the new '2-years-out' trade system. A record forever Tim Lamb's.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Time to repeat this? Lamb on Trade Radio 2 days ago: We have "told Christian that the likely outcome is he comes back to us".

Farewell Clayton Oliver
It'll be interesting to hear Max's views on all this at some stage, he (apparently) having taking Clayton 'under his(*) wing' during the latter's difficult times. Surprise? Disappointment? Anger? Bemusement? You've got it all wrong, folks? (* For 'his', read 'his and his partner's and his family's')

Welcome to Demonland: Max Heath
Oooh! Getting close! I will be tempted to give him MBMH status, now vacated by former MBJMcV) if we get him, and various trackside-interviewed players nominate him during pre-season as the dark-horse, leaps-and-bounds improver.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
That'd certainly rouse me! And hopefully him! As a ruse, however? Quite a risk! (D*** predictive text, eh, Cossie?)

Farewell Clayton Oliver
You nearly got me with your OMac edit but... Yeah, nah.

Defs. Jackson: defector. Wagner: not a Bedford. McVee: defector. vs Hogan: personal journey. Bedford: Club encouragement. Oliver: Club 'encouragement'. Plus: Is Fremantle.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Yeah, he was MBCO from the week before the draft, eventually succeeded by MBJMcV. That's ending well...

So it's a 'twist' is it, Tom? Yep, that (at least) McKirdy and Ralph got it a coupla hours earlier. Twist, Tom, twist

Farewell Clayton Oliver
p.p.s. Not sure, though, how a ranga goes in an orange jumper? He'll constantly look like one of those soccer jersey-over-the-head goal celebrators.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
p.s. ...and I could almost have GWS as my second team with Jessie, Toby and Clayton in it...

Farewell Clayton Oliver
From Fox Footy this arvo: 4:25PM — CLARRY TO CONFIRM GIANT MOVE Melbourne midfielder Clayton Oliver has reportedly settled on GWS as his preferred destination, according to News Corp’s Lachlan McKirdy and confirmed by Jon Ralph on Fox Footy’s Trading Day. The 28-year-old is expected to join the Giants after more or less being told by the Demons to explore his departure options. It means Collingwood has been ousted in the race for the inside midfielder, just hours after Craig McRae cheekily said he’d been “hard to get a hold of” recently while in Sydney visiting with the Giants. McKirdy reports that “a key part of their (the Giants’) pitch” to Oliver is “the allure of removing himself from the Melbourne bubble”. Ralph noted on Trading Day that the Giants — who hold picks 13, 34, 36 this year at present — would only surrender a late selection in a deal. (...No mention of paying part of salary, and only a nominal pick in return suggests contribution, if any, would be small?)

Assistant Coaches in 2026
Was it the Club or Troy that knocked it back? I get the impression it was Troy who wanted to stay, not the Club exercising his 2026 contract.

Welcome to Demonland: Max Heath
Lamb on Trade Radio: "Haven't spoken to Saints yet" but we've had an "indication from Max and his management that he'd like to join us".
