  1. Not sure what you are both going off but in Goodwins media conference late last week he said Viney just needed to tick the boxes to be available vs dogs. That’s obviously not a guarantee but to me says there is a path to him playing
  2. Fritsch kicked 3 last week, not sure how that’s a shocker. It’s a damm sight more than wied has shown so far this year. Perhaps if weid commanded a better defender like Brown would it would allow Fritsch to have more impact since he would get the 3rd or 4th defender. Jordan still played his role but we need Viney back ASAP, I’d still rather see Melksham out before Jordan at least he tackles and brings pressure. Hunt should also be in the crosshairs his output has dropped off over the last few weeks.
  3. Wied doesn’t offer enough and doesn’t even get the best defender, at least with brown in he takes the number one tall so tmac gets 2 and Jackson 3 ect. Plus brown has a proven record of kicking goals over many years and wied doesn’t. A few tackles from wied isn’t enough to make up for that as neither provide much defensive pressure. If that’s the reasoning for keeping weid in then I’d play neither. Bring in Mitch Brown or play another midsize up fwd. The talls are primarily there to kick goals, take marks and create opportunities for our smalls to crumb.
  4. Not to fussed if it’s BB or wied we need to see both and Brown had 3 weeks (1 good, one average, one poor), now Weid has a turn without needing to ruck, my personal feeling is Brown requires a better defender there for tmac gets more space. But we will have to see on that. Melksham makes no sense to me, didn’t play at all last week and comes straight back in, surely someone who has been performing in the vfl deserves a run, feel like he doesn’t need to earn a spot for some reason.

It’s easy to find at least a couple of reasons we might loose with any game, so unless every game is a danger game then I couldn’t disagree more strongly. The reasons we should win this far outweigh the reasons we loose, crows are in the bottom 4 and we are undefeated for a reason.
  6. Problem is if Jackson comes back in then Weids ruck work is moot, and so your choice needs to be predominately judged based on there fwd output, neither showed much today but brown has 2 prior weeks on the board, either way at least one will need to go and so far Brown maybe just by virtue of been first in has the edge. It’s also possible both go out I certainly haven’t liked our fwd pressure the last 2 weeks, it’s coming out way to easily.
  7. Once they are fit Viney and Jackson come straight back in, from today’s team you would probably have no choice but to drop Chandler and Weid, I’d like to see Weid get one more but no argument that Jackson is a far superior backup for gawn and more useful around the ground and unfortunately for Weid he didn’t fire a shot in front of goal
  8. Concerned we once again lost the clearance game, and again tackles inside 50 were down, rather than rely on the backline as a backup we now need them in order to compete, going to be ugly vs dogs in a few weeks if we can’t fix it
  9. So McKay kicked 6 vs lions a few weeks back and 4 vs pies does that rule out Andrews and Moore for aa lol, this guys logic is so flawed. If Mckay kicks any less than 4 then by the same logic May is better than both
  10. Hate when I see him go in there, don’t think I’ve seen him do anything useful at any of the centre bounces he’s attended all year unlike Pickett who often creates some chaos.
  11. Trac is currently on 66 games with out a miss he will play not the type to miss from a niggle
  12. So apparently Jones was set to be named prior to injuring himself today, seems there was one other change beyond Jackson. I’d speculate Melksham hopefully this doesn’t mean he is back in.
  13. Has to be Weid in for Jackson, as good a time as any to see over the next 2 weeks if 3 genuine tall fwds is better than 2 and a resting ruck. If all 3 fire and Gawn is still as effective round the ground then on balance it might be a better mix, thing is we won’t know till we try.
  14. Heard Gawn say much in an interview this year that the team got ahead of them self leading into those games and didn’t treat them with the respect they deserved, might be a bit of revisionism on his part but still interesting that’s how they see it now.
  15. If you go back over the last decade most years a team starts 10-1 give or take a game and there after goes 50/50. In almost every instance that team still finished 1st or 2nd. We have already committed to the fast start no point trying to change it up now or even worrying about it, just ride this wave as far as it goes and reassess when things turn. Until we have our spot locked up wherever that is I hope the club just takes one week at a time and doesn’t fall into the trap of saving them self for the next weeks game, that’s what cost us up in Caines last season.
  16. I’d like to see Harmes play fwd in Melkshams role, and Sparrow to come in for Melksham. Assuming Viney is still injured. Other than that no change. Having said all that I don’t think any changes we make are going to be the difference so not fussed either way.
  17. I think your alone there, although he does seem to have a few more bandages every week so something will probably catch up with him eventually and give him a week off anyway
  18. With Petty a confirmed in, I can only see one other change happening and that will be Sparrow or Harmes for Viney. I don’t see Goodwin making any unforced changes this week.
  19. What a difference a few wins makes, not only to resign, but for life and at slight unders, shows how much of a clubman he is.
  20. Good sign it’s taking so long
  21. If Fritsch is out and Viney missing a few, I’d like to see Weid and Sparrow both come in. The only question then is does Tmac go back or stay forward. If back then I’d like to see Bedford or Kade Chandler be given a run, other wise Petty comes in down back for Tomlinson.
  22. Maybe this is one for the Thread, just 12 more to go lol
  23. Wonder what the longest a player has gone since debut without a loss
  24. Ben Brown if he is to play fwd in place of Tmac (on the the assumption he is going back) needs to get up the ground more and be a link man, the real strength of tmac this year was his work round the ground not the goals he kicked. He gets a pass today being his first week in but going forward he needs to contribute more. The same for Weid when he gets his chance. Unless they can kick 3-4 a week the talls need to do more in other ways. 2 goals and 5 touches won’t cut it
  25. Our issues in the first half and the turn round were not a result of Ben Brown playing or not playing, it was the result of north getting possession in the middle under little or no pressure and being able to deliver into there f50, our return from our own inside 50s didn’t change throughout the game north’s supply and quality of entry simply dropped off.
