"Professionals"
No idea what is happening in the four walls at the club. Maybe they did review, maybe they didn't. We can Only speculate, either way the results are daggers in the heart of the supporter base so something needs to change quickly. The only thing we can do is start analysing the top 4 draft prospects in the TAC cup because at this rate that's where we are headed this season.

May setback + Jetta knee injury (8-10 weeks)
Our trade table returns are looking a tad lean. I hope for the clubs sake there are some performance benchmarks in Lever and May's contracts. If Jetta is out for 10 weeks it's pretty much worth sitting him out for the season.

Sack everyone (mega-thread)
Just sack him and replace him with a VCR with a Tae Bo workout in it!

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
We are not playing finals this season, so why waste valuable game time on Lewis when he will be hanging them up at seasons end. Bring him in against Hawks for a farewell match, then have him down at Casey as an on field coach. If we are going to lose I would at least like us to be playing some untried players like Baker and Chandler to see if they are going to be useful next season.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
We haven't used a 1st round pick for 3 drafts now (2016 Hannan in 3rd, round, 2017 Spargo in 2nd round, 2018 Sparrow in 2nd round) which means we are not in a position to trade out our 1st round pick in 2019 for Langdon (we we're able to go 3 drafts in a row because we took 2x 1st in 2015 which were Clarry and Weed. Collingwood can give up a first round pick, so they are in the box seat at the trade table. He would be a great fit for us, but the Collingwood FC will find a way to get this deal done.

Billy Stretch Appreciation Thread
The sand in the hourglass is running out for Billy. Given we are probably the second slowest side in the AFL it's quite telling that stretch isn't part of the coaches current plans. I think there is a place for him in the side, but his next chance might be his last so his next stint needs to be his best footy. I'd like to see him back against the tigers.

Future Father-Sons/Daughters
Can someone go and open a tinder account for Neita! He should be studded!

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I still rate Jesse, and honestly believe we would have won the Port and Essendon games if we had him up forward. May and KK may end up being a better package, but as of the end of round 3 the fact is that the subtraction of Jesse and addition of May and KK has not improved our team.

Target 70,000
I'm interested in finding out how many of the 45,000 memberships have been already been microwaved..... Surely we we league in microwaved memberships!

Gary Pert?
Look, I understand the frustration given a 0-3 start. But let's be honest here, the CEO should be assessed based on off field performance more than on field. Coaching is up in the air, and yes, he has a hand in that part of the business. But from the outside looking in the club has record membership numbers, good sponsors and minimal off field issues since he has taken over.

Sack everyone (mega-thread)
Can Demonland as a collective group replace him as a coach? I think we have some good ideas....... sometimes

The Writing Was/Is on the Wall
We have some good players that are down on form, and some good players still to come back into the side. Yesterday was rubbish, but it's a bit too early to can 2019 as a failure. Let's see what happens in the next few weeks.

The Need for Outside Midfielders
Joel Smith and KK finished first and second in the 2km time trial for us in the off-season. Neither of these players played yesterday. Both of those players have some knocks on their game, but pace isn't one of them. Baker is also quick and will be an upgrade if he can put the other parts of his game together. I'm not saying we don't need pace, I'm just saying we have options waiting in the wings that would quicken up our best 22. Jake's Jordon was also an outside mid for SA. He doesn't have pace to burn but is an outside running player. We need to get quicker, but there are some small upgrades we can make this season which may have an impact for coming seasons.

AFL lookalikes
- Andrew Brayshaw
I hope we bend Freo over for any Victorians in the upcoming years. Especially if it means uniting the Brayshaw brothers. Hated them since the Jeff White and Jeff Farmer sagas. There is some historic hatred there.- Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
Didn't Fritta kick 30 or 40 goals in the VFL for Casey in 2017? Could be an option.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
If taking his one year deal gets the Hogan deal done for 2 first rounders I'm in. Peter Bell isn't a fan and wants him gone, if Bennell is the steak knives to get the Hogan deal done then I'm willing to see if he can turn it around at the Demons next season. Personally, I hope he finds a home and makes it back. He is a super talented player, and players like him firing make the game better to watch.- Farewell Dom Tyson
Premiership window is open now. No room for players who won't help us hoist that cup. If he can find more opportunities elsewhere and the compensation is suitable I see no reason to hold onto him. I wish him well if he moves.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
If you would like an interesting perspective on this trade, have a look at what they are saying at Dockerland about the potential deal. Quite a large number wed to the idea of of waiting until free agency and getting him for nothing next year, or that he is only worth pick 5 if they get a second round pick back, or just worth a first rounder straight up. Some posters see his value, and are salivating. Either way, interesting reading from their perspective. Clearly some think that key forwards must grow on trees....... https://www.dockerland.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&view=topic&catid=1&Itemid=251&id=492595- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Agree, the compensation for free agents prevents is from access to the top 10 in this draft. Have to play hard ball with Freo. Even if it drags out other deals and we miss a deal for a May we must stand firm.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Dees need to play hardball with Freo. Hearing Luke Darcy's comments about Freo flipping their pick 4 compo from Brisbane for Neale to Port for picks 9&10, and then sending 9&10 to us for Hogan feels a bit light. I think we stay firm and state that pick 4 has to be one of the picks we receive for Hogan. Especially when Freo still have pick 5 this draft and a future first rounder in the cupboard.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
I actually don't mind Koladjaksfndhdhdbsnij as a player. He looked good early on, bit has really disappeared with concussion issues. I'd be keen to give him a go. Would be happy with a 3rd round, but would give a second rounder for him if he changed his surname to Smith (just so we didn't have to spell his name on the forum)- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
I don't want May, especially if it means giving up a top 10 pick we get for losing Hogan. May will be 27 at the start of next season, and will cost a huge chunk of salary cap. Lever, Frost and Omac developing down back. Not to mention Keilty, Petty and Baker all drafted for back half.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
I'm not convinced Hogan will leave, but if we got 2 top 10 picks in this year's draft (Neale pick and their own) and held on to them (not that keen on May) I would probably need to change my underwear.- Thanks Cameron Pedersen
Good luck to him with his future endeavors. Was a handy player for us when called upon. - Andrew Brayshaw
