Max Gawn has been getting some good press in the paper (the age) and on AFL.com. People are taking notice of some of our lesser known players all of a sudden.

Collingwood have the cap room for Dangerfield, their list management had been clever the past few seasons and I'm sure if Swanny is done the pies could strike a deal with 800k+ per season. Hawthorn simply cannot have the cap room for a top tier free agent.

He shouldn't cost too much. Currently tipped to go late in the draft as it is, and it would be odd for anyone to bid overs for him.

Bernie has to be close to our best. He is a quality player. He probably only has 2-3 years left after this one so I think it is only a matter of time before he declines slightly and the likes of Salem and Brayshaw push ahead of him. As of today, probably our best player.

Agree with you here.Fitzpatrick is a must to help out down back and to help ruck. Dawes in for Pedo is like for like, and ANB to get the vest. If a mid is dropped Bail will come in having played well at Casey, but I feel they will go with minimal changes this week.

Watched the game and the Toump was close to our best. He has moved ahead of other players on our list this season, and finds himself in some good form. Time to give him his props and a well deserved break from the bagging. He was great today.

Must win game for us. A win helps us turn the corner, a loss all but confirms we are a bottom 4 team that isn't progressing like we should be. I believe the Dees will get up in a close one.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet but Newton went off about 10 mins into the 3rd after injuring his hand and did not return. That is why he wasn't sighted in the second half.

Harmes played well.No doubt he is someone to watch. Had more of an influence than McKenzie and seems to read the play well.

Was at the game today. Spencer ran hard all day,and Bail and Jones had plenty of it. Oscar McDonald was handy, and King had a blinder. Not sure if anyone is an automatic in next week, but Jones and Bail put their hands up. King isn't ready just yet, got the better of his opponent today but he will be tested against the really good backman. Hopefully he can build on today's performance. Interesting seeing Cale Morton running around.

With Garland out Grimes has a realistic shot at playing his 100th if he can maintain form.

Leunberger is out of contract and out of favour. I wonder if he were added to the poll what kind of votes he would get ahead of our current ruck stocks.

Looking at those stats it is clear Aish has really stalled in his development. Have to question what the problem is. If he is SA bound then he might not get the return the lions want via trade. Maybe we come in and sweeten the deal with the lionsand take a flyer on him turning it around? Shouldn't be commanding too much if he keeps performing in line with this season's stats. Would love Prestia, and wonder what his market value would be.

So much for a raid on giants players. By some salary cap miracle they all seem to be signing up one by one. Gold Coast on the other hand seem to be a less cohesive club off the field. All these club imposed suspensions should help clubs pry players away.

Say what you like about Garland being scarred or not being able to overcome the mental demons of the past few years. He played 3 quarters of footy with a broken hand! That is commitment and takes some serious mental strength to be able to do that.

Newton is fortunate that VandenBerg and Garland are out injured. He was downright pedestrian. I think everyone is too busy criticising Fitzpatrick, Watts and Toumpas to notice how poor he was. We would have been handed the vest is Vanders hadn't have done his hammy. Grimes has to come in for Garland, and Tyson is automatic. ANB or Viv to replace Jones.
