Is ANY player worth 1 mill??? Judd is the best hingsince barassi IMO. But if he is soaking up and 8th of the cap, IF HE WERE to get injured, we would not have enough money to spend on QUALITY depth players that can compete at an afl level. If the dees are sitting at 0-6, it would mean that we would have to win 12 of the final 18 games to make finals. I think the dees might sit bottom and try and woo Judd to come across. He is worth 650-800k. But 1 mill? I think that is too much to invest in one player.

Not calling for heads, looking at the next 2-3 years of this footy club. CJ needs to play, and as great as wardy is, he wont be around then. We need to mould CJ, and we cant very well drop whelan or bell to do it.

The cats have tom hawkins and selwood added to a great list. It is important to note that 90% of this list were beaten by minnows and short handed teams in 06. They missed the 8 at finals when they had the right cattle on the paddock. When geelong are playing, nothing is certain. The dees are an outside chance.

Occo, freo on top?? They are a good team on paper, but topping the comp by round 11 will be a tall order for the dockers. Nice to see faith restored with demon fans, dont see the dees at 16th yet. Dees to be sitting 8th by round 11 for me thanks.

Cj needs a chance to develop. 2 games isnt a fair amount to be judged on. He should get another run. As for trapper and davey, they will find touch. CJ back next week for ward.

Buckley got a good run in the preseason which suggest he is on the selection radar. Expect him to make a push towards the middle of the year. Frawley would have been playing now if it were not for his injury. Pettard has impressed also. I imagine at some point buckley, frawley and pettard will get a run in the red and blue in 07. Dunn will be back in the next month due to injuries to neita and robbo. Will be good to see him develop some more.

I think Aaron will play where he is needed. He will start in his normal possie and be moved according to how the game is played. Starting him at FF is a negative move IMO. Let him find his touch closer to the middle. Throw White or bizz down at FF for the centre bounce. Let the russian take the first bounce, he needs to learn eventually.

He is soft. What more do you want. he has always been soft. He is a great finisher, but without enforcers like neita, chooka and byron there is no way he can be that majestic finisher. I hate to say it, but trappers star is falling. lets hope he snaps out of it.

um....he is too fat and slow for AFL. But he is a great kick at goal. Love big nick, but the afl is much too quick for him.

Mitch brown would have been GREAT!!! He is killing it. Nathan or mitch woudl have been the way for the MFC to go. I wanted him on draft day. The browns may be players we can target if the chance comes up on trade week.

If EVER there was a chance for a fringe player to step up and make their case heard it is now. We are missing so many forwards, there are so many chances for a someone to step up and grab a spot in the best 22. If dunny were ready to go i would back him. I think the door is open for bizz....in the forwardline. Neita and robbo will miss 4 weeks, but we will be given an idea of our forward set up post neita and robbo era. Let us hope some of the kids such as newton, dunny (maybe hughes if bartram misses more time) can step up and play forward. CARN THE DEEES

I think Rivo would relish the chance to lead the boys out. IMO he is one of the TRUE leaders around the club. Rivo for me thanks demonland.

The best thing you can do is have a few beers, chill out on the couch and ge laid! that will take ALL the pain away. Dont dig too deep, we have been in this possie before. Worst case scenario is that we lose most games and finish last. The light at the end of the tunnel will be a free judd and a number 1 pick. A more lilely scenario will be that the dees will turn it on and start winning. Relax, have some beer and poon tang and enjoy the ride that is the "mfc 07 season"

I will say it now, top class players wont win a flag! The swans lack top class players, however have a committed team or players hwo are consistent and play their guts out week in week out. The swans have lewis roberts thompson at CHB. THis guy is not talented, and he kills chfs in the comp. The roos of the 90s were the same. We need a team of committed players, not guys who like to finish the job and do pretty things. We need to harden up.

Run Buckley and Newton. I AM NOT JOKING HERE. We will get creamed anyway, we might as well give these kids a run and see what they can do against some class opposition. You never know, their fresh approach and desperation ot winthe footy could be the spark to set the wheels in motion. If the kids are not the go, then Bizzell will play for sure. He presents an option up back and up forward.

Bells is starting to live up to the hype. We did trade #@%wodin to get the pick to select bell in the draft as he was reagrded as a hard nosed defender as a kid. There are ALWAYS positives to any game of footy. I also agree Jamar is making strides in the right direction. Some confidence could do the russian a world of good. He might just come out firing next game. I agree that trapper and flash couldnt play worse........when will they start playing better? Soon i hope. Hooray for miller. MAYBE this is the start of a string of dominant games for brad. We can only hope. I hope so.

Can we sign Chuck norris to the rookie list and promote him? Chuck is the only forward who can help us beat geelong.

Cleanout MAY be a tad extreme. My issue with the club is that when a player is up for contract negs, players have a way of getting the club to cave on demands. We have several players who i wont mention, who are earning MUCH more than they would be at other clubs. We have talent that are on superstar wages, when they perhaps should be on less. this allows us to sepnd less on bigger names that may come up on trade day due to cap constraints. We need to be tougher with contract negs. If they are going to be a franchise player, then give them a good deal. A fringe player has no right to make strong demands and have them met.

Bate needs to learn at the top level. The VFL is more to build form. Bater needs to learn how to read the play, and dominate at a top level. The tempo of VFL is much slower. Let him learn in the afl, mistakes will happen from time to time, but in 3 years time he will be a worthwhile investment.

Wheatley will be out a while with a shoulder. Shoulder can be a tough thing to come back from. If it is a bad shoulder, and it needs reco, we could have just seen the last wheatley game in 07.Robbo will play next week, he should rest it, with neita out he will play. Neita will be 2-6 depending on how bad it is.

The MFC club owes me a flag!

I would think Clint Bizzell would be closer to selection than PJ. He did play FF at geelong before he was made into a backman at the MFC. Bizz and Newton are smokies for FF next week. PJ is not an automatic choice. He might get the gig, there will be 4-5 players that will be in line for FF. A smokie might be the go to throw a very strong cats outfit offguard
