Bate was selected a year early in the draft. To be fair, he still has another 12 months left in him before he is an official adult. He has been hot and cold to be fair, however coming down on bate is a bit tough. He tried hard, but was beaten. He will earn from outings like this and will get much better. Bate if fit, will develop into something solid by round 22. He had a shocker against the saints, but most demon players did. Bater will pick it up soon enough, keep the faith, the kids got mad skills (computer hacking skills....nunchuking skills...bowhunting skills) GOSSSSSSSSSH!

I sat in my reserved seat with blood boiling. I am sure this wont happen again. If it does i am under the impression we will have a new coach by round 12.

To be honest, the saints were not that good. We were 2 men down, and many of our key players had stinkers. Add in a poor game plan (over using the ball via hand) and a stinker with the umps and you have the formula for a sour defeat. A change of plan , 2 fresh players in the rotation, and an increase of work from some top tier players and we should have a formula to win.

Fingers crossed that they both make a speedy and FULL recovery. Both will be missed. A chance for a few 2nd stringers to step up though. As long as we dont suffer any further setbacks against the hawks we should be looking ok heading into round 3. (injury wise, who knows about form...we will see)

Please dont tell me it's another odd year!!!

If the dees finish last i would almost bet 2000 bux that judd would walk out and join the dees via the psd. If judd is heading anywhere, it is the MFC. Is it worth finishing last for FREE judd???? I would rather see neita hold up the cup in07, but if things go sour midseason.......... -
6 for buckets holland. 5 for robbo, toss a coin for the other votes.

Dappa Dan, you know I am your number #! fan. If anyone should get an honourable, or in the case of the orignal post, dishonourable mention, you should ALWAYS be up there! In fact, we should now pass a law. If "posters" are being "analysed", all old school posters ( your 1000+ers) should be given an automatic mention. -
Surely Pickett will play even if only 80% fit. I think wheatley is a fair shot at comin back into the side, at the expense of bell, CJ or Ward.

I wish Whitey would be used as a resting ruckman in the forward 50, instead of having him on and off the pine every 8 minutes. Whitey can take a mark, and is a good kick at the sticks. I say run him for an extra 15 mins a game in the forward 50.
-
He should kick 60-69. If he gets a constant feed a stays fit, he could go on to kick 80ish. A fair guess would be 68.

Nice to see sandy playing well early on (even if only a practice game). If newton hits his straps this year, I wouldnt be at all suprised if he lines up at CHF at some stage during this season in the red and blue. Dunny is a while off, and miller might be shifted around if his game doesnt improve. If the dees were unlcuky enough to get some injureid to marking forwards, he could line up for the dees. No smithy this year, so newton is no longer the last in line. A spot could open up for newton, stay tuned.

Will whelan play ? If not can CJ or Belly keep the shotgun under control? Will be an interesting gamefor sure. Dees will look to bounce back HARD.

Would you like a tissue? It is LOVELY to be mentioned alongside the demonland elite. Having my name up in lights with greats like lord travis and my good mate Jacey is truely an honour. I am speechless! Glad my negativity gets up your nose Litte Lucifer. By the way, do you ever read any of the POSITIVES that some of these great posters (inlcuding myself) post?- I doubt it. Dappa Dan, No love for you?? Maybe throw a "Lets trade brock" at the end of each post, that will get you noticed!! (For the record, brock should never be traded......unless for chuck norris) -
I am not sure where the forwardline was last night, but I know where they will be in 21 weeks time if they are still missing. the will be nestled in the bottom four of the afl ladder!

Forward pocket. If he matures mentally, and can develop consistency in his game, then maybe he can be moved up the ground to handle the engine room.

why we can still win the flag this year.

Didnt we lose to carlton round 1 last year with a similar onfield display? We have a stronger list than last year. I WAS disgusted, but we cannot play any worse. I cant get a refund on my memebership, so i may as well keep the faith, maybe the dees will round into form and attack the 07 cup.....maybe. Carn the dees P>s THIS year is the year of COLIN SYLVIA! -
A change of game plan will help out. Less handballing (why put yourself under pressure??) and more kicking. Brown dog in, he isnt our best, but at least he puts his body in. Yze- A MAJOR CONCERN Whelan - Good before hurt Carroll - supply killed him Holland - Best on GROUND! Ward - Ok in parts Bruce - negative tagging role Bell - not accountable enough Johnstone - not trapper like Davey - lacked spark, composure Green - not hard enough Miller - non marking chf????? Moloney - good start back McDonald - tried hard, beaten Bate - time at sandy Neitz - starved of delivery Robertson - Oustanding yet quiet McLean - bye bye 2007 Jamar - must do more Johnson - will get better Jones - outplayed demon elders White - good in the ruck Bartram - will improve soon

Love to see him back and firing. Bad news is reports say he is still ginger and restricted with what he can do. Still a while off yet. I hope they rest him during the NAB cup. If we are to attempt to win a "grand ol flag" beamer must be on the turf playing good footy (along with the rest of the elite demon regiment)

Lets not get TOO excited. I am a MASSIVE indigenous football fan, but i can still remember the David and Dale Cockatoo-Collins days. We had some "aboriginal talent" back then also, and we ALL remember how that turned out.

Fevolas wife was a stunner! Bingle is super hot, but its not like fev was on a bad wicket to begin with. A case of getting a bit too greedy i think. If fevolas ex wanted to "saddle up" with me, i wouldnt have to think twice. Sad news for their kid who didnt even make its 1st bday with its parents intact.

Looks good on paper, but at 178cms and 66kgs one would assume he is too light to make an impact in the demons lineup straight away. I am pretty sure we will see him play in the NAB cup, as we have a habit of playing rookies in the NAB cup while we rest our injured big names. I like the idea of adding some pace, and with Hayes test results you cannot help but smirk and think this might be a davey repeat. CAC drafted him knowing that he will be something out of the ordinary. Given his test results I was suprised he was taken in the national draft. (He must sit a SHOCKER of an interview) Will be exciting to see some more indigenous talent down at the MFC.
-
PJ is not really the fastest unit going around. HE would need to find some more pace to fill FB or CHB. He has the right skill set for a forward, which is where i would rather see him play. Maybe a smokey for CHF. I think low end ruckman or foward role player for PJ in 2007.

Isn't Weetra only 17?? I think CAC was using the old "Matty Bate" tactic, by drafting him a year early. Bate went at late first round, but would have gone top 3 the year after. Maybe Weetra is a top 20 for next years draft? CAC makes the odd Blunder, at pick 62 you can't blame the man for trying to unearth a future star. Waters a pretty Murky in the later rounds of a draft, and i think CAC had Weetra on the Radar well before the draft had even started. I bet he will be a very handy AFL player in 3 years time.

I will look DYNAMITE in that strip, come ot think of it, who wouldn't look mint in such a sick outfit? Even Mark Holden could pick up a chick wearing that jumper!
