I suppose that its a game of structures but why not put bigger bodies in the middle? Hogan, dawes, Vandenberg would have been helpful in the middle against our bigger stronger opponents. I thought that hunt and wagner were good. Im expecting oscar to be better than his brother when their careers are done.

I was starting to panic when i couldnt spot Jetta. It was only when i asked one of the staff that i realised that he was in the no.36. He is pretty solid! Should have picked up the size difference!

A bit drizzly but training looked sharp. Dawes looks in good touch. Lots of yelps and yahooing during the runthroughs. Petracca having fun espcially with dawes and watts. I havent seen many session's before but this looked pretty brisk. I now see the talk about Petracca's size. He is huge!

I felt the same way after the essendon game this year. I went to the same game last yr and the carlton one and i expected us to blow them away! I now realise that the losses are now due to inexperience and poor composure/decision-making. We are improving, but its a slow burn. Probably 2 years before we see the benefit. Only 50 games for max is a good reminder.

Try seeing the 70s and 80s flogings! Im disappointed about the result but dawes trenners and VB will be better for the run.

I was having a think about this situation this morning and I realised that it is generally the same problems with each loss! That to me says that we are inconsistent with the plan. We used to find new ways to lose every week and not be able to know what to try and fix first!

Max was playing like an extra tall midfielder and getting the ball at ground level. Max can get forward and really needs Spencil to bash and crash ATM. Need a KPB. Tom Mc Donald is playing like a Jared Rivers. He was no where near Dixon when he needed to be. I would have played Dunn on him. Need another tall forward. Really missed Pedo. Could have freed up Gawn. Im actually hoping that the mindset against Hawthorn will be sharper and that some tactics are employed to restrict some of their players influence. I really struggle with this "team defence" BS. Is that code for Jetta plays tall, small, medium and everyone else watches???
