Some thoughts. Jetta is too talented to just play back. I know he has been the real general Back there but I think his desire could be used through the middle. Id like to see jessie and tom as the forwards and weed taking the marks from the kick ins. He can mark but the forward line is too crowded. Need outside players Salem, Hibberd, Hunt. Bugg and Melksham on hff Trac, brayshaw, oliver mids Watts wing/outside mid Frost ruck/wing/back attack Oscar back defend

I was happy to see him in the middle as well as Jessie. It gets them into touch. As a person who grew up with positional play I dont understand how Jeff ends up with one or two tall defenders as a forward or how we look forward and the forward line is vacant?

In particular from the kick outs. I would like to see weed tried there. He can mark but looks lost in traffic in the forward line. ?neitz mk2

People dont seem to realise that you dont just come out as a sydney or hawthorn outfit from day 1. These teams are built. I understand the cultural issues being raised but our team has ability, some composure at times but they have not all played as a unit for 50 games. If i was looking at a demon team to follow i would take the 87 side. They were feared and fierce. 2017 side is not them and its only half built. It hurts but they need more time

Spot on. Also most of our team havent played 50 games together yet! No intensity or composure today hurt us

Completely agree with tmac going back. Max as well. Why was jetta one on one against their tall forwards? Is he the only one that can read the play down there? We have had massive problems related to our inabilty to take contested marks around the ground. Especially coming out of defence and going into f50

This was like the ess and carlton games of last year. Where was the sense of urgency, the attack on the man and ball? No matter how much I screamed wake up! at the TV the guys kept playing the same. Why were we not attacking the goals in the last quarter? It was like we had to craft a goal that we trained for?

The thing that i have noticed this year is how other teams seem to have one or two contested marking players around the ground. We seem to lack this or the players who can do this are not utilised in the same way. Pedo is one and plugger another. We kick the ball out and the opposition tall marks it. I know max has been out but i have seen sandilands and others do it to us all year!

Next week we need to play as a final. We are at our home ground and we need to reset what we have been putting into practice all year. Imho i would play hogan on the ball And get him the touch he needs. Hopefully some of our players come back in
