I'm genuinely confused... there are two actions by Carslile. A shove to the chest followed by a jab. As the umpire explained on the broadcast, the second jab caught Jessie in the throat.

I think the coaching staff may be ‘wedded to the three tall forwards’. With that said, they’re not playing as three stay at home forwards and, in fact, wouldn’t be in the 50 at the same time anyways. Hogan and McDonald in particular are currently playing like 6’5” 100kg flankers and Weid is doing his bit in the ruck. The versatility seems to have been working for the last two weeks.

Forgive my ignorance... who’s his nephew??
-
I haven’t noticed him being anti-Melbourne, but he’s certainly anti-Oscar McDonald.
-
Asked Prendergast about him in 2009. Told me he wasn’t talented enough to make it in the AFL.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 7
TeamPlayedFine39 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don’t get much juicy afl gossip, but I can say for an absolute fact that GWS we’re not trading picks 4 and 7 so they could get Petracca with pick 1. They were after someone else. -
Think the ball moved around the ground a lot slower back then. It’s also worth noting that every ball up that BT complained about the congestion, there was not a single secondary ball up; it cleared the congestion into space every time.

I think it’d spawn a lot of Blicavs cloned. Tallish athletes with a big tank.
-
Be careful what you wish for as it could remove one of the strongest aspects of our team. We might lose Gawn, Jones, Oliver, Viney and co around the ball ups.

Time to show Oscar some respect!
TeamPlayedFine39 replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
You obviously haven't heard how much of a 'good bloke he is...' -
I think they’ll err on the side of caution and give him the extra week. A lot will depend on the damage that the infection did. Infections are amazing with the speed in which they set in and the speed with which they can respond to treatment. The infection would be gone by now, so it comes down to healing and recovery from it’s effects.

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 6
TeamPlayedFine39 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
A 10 Vote performance on the weekend for Gawn sees him move to third place in the Coach’s Award for this year. -

He is dominating today’s game. He is in his prime. No player improves after 30.

Yep- you're right. I confused Higgins with Naish. But why is Higgins being included in your discussion?
-
This is surely satire... why do you keep referring to Jack Higgins? Do you mean the Richmond father/son pick who's played three games in his first year? How and why would we get him and why, in a million years, would he and Richmond want him to?? In reference to Gawn, you've said he was good on the weekend; correction, he was our best on the weekend. In fact, he has been our best performing player all year. Close to the top of the Coach's award and will probably pick up another 10 votes on the back of yesterday's effort. You do not trade your best player, because their value is high. Are Richmond looking to trade off Martin, Geelong off-loading Dangerfield, Freo shopping Fyfe around?? No, that would be laughable. 2015 - Second half was immense after not playing until Round 10. Averaged 38 HO after the Geelong match where he was BOG. 2016 - All Australian ruck. 2017 - Huge start to the year before tearing his hamstring in half in Round 3. Returned below fitness and out of form. (To say he was 'soft' is ridiculous) 2018 - Our most consistent performer. Averaging over 50 HO and 16 disposals and 4 tackles a game. In addition, who plays Ruck when you've traded Gawn away?

The Jack Watts in 2018 Thread
TeamPlayedFine39 replied to Ugottobekidding's topic in Melbourne Demons
I’ve moved on from Watts and am a big wrap for Fritsch, but you waited until he played his best match to post a statistical comparison. Before today’s match, Watts had him covered in every major stat. Move on. Enjoy the player we have and don’t feel the need to validate him by comparing him to a Port Adelaide forward. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
TeamPlayedFine39 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Was excellent today. Great vision, thinking in traffic and very quick hands. Can see him dishing out some lightning handballs from a congested midfield in the coming years. -
Maybe he read the ‘Nathan Jones is the problem’ thread...
-
And he’s a StKilda specialist.
-
So, are we still trading out Gawn??
-
At least your banner was funny you dogs.
-
Despite the self-flagellation in here we’re one goal down. There have been moments where we’ve moved the ball well, but they are too few and far between. But for can turn quickly... fingers crossed for the second half. Ps. Welcome to the MFC Charlie Spargo!

All class Essendon. (you pathetic junkies)

Which clubs get the draft right? Every club strives to achieve this, but like Redleg said, it’d be a miracle to actually achieve this. Complaining about the drafting of Dion Johnstone at pick 64 is a stretch.
