  1. Thought he was very stiff to be delisted in the first place. No problems with him coming back into the fold.
  2. For the life of me I can't imagine who's finishing below West Coast next year; they'll be getting worse before they get any better. So, yes, I'd trade this year's Pick 6 for next year's Pick 1.
  3. I love the monogram but think this is looking a little bit cluttered. Ironically, I like the simplicity of the monogram, especially compared to the previous logos, but five logos on the front of the guernsey is a bit much IMHO.
  4. And yet, I’ve never seen anything from the club to raise money for a home base. This makes me fear we are further away from a shovel hitting the dirt than we think.
  5. Spot on with this comparison. I think I’m in the minority of people who doesn’t mind listening to Kane Cornes. But you have to do it through the lens of him being a ‘conversation starter’. He is paid to dial things up and get a reaction. Petty is open to a return to Adelaide. That’s fine, so would I for 900k. He is contracted to Melbourne and we have so far had no right of reply in regards to a contract renewal. Let this play out.
  6. Did he play in defence a bit last year? I thought he was classed as a KPF/KPB coming into this year?
  7. If that graphic is accurate and, let's face it, there's every chance it's not, then West Cost are keeping Pick 1 and there's not a whole lot of point wasting emotional energy on it. Nth's offer is way overs and our is decent. They'll either need to backtrack or hang onto it. A lot of West Coast fans think they're a shot for picks 2 and 3. To that I'd say: 'Your not' or, if they do get 2 and 3 in exchange for 1, then that should be the end of any draft assistance for Nth Melbourne for ever and ever.
  8. Possibly why we wanted to move our second pick slightly higher..?
  9. One my favourites of this current team - love his attitude to the game and the club. Whilst I understand the ‘temptation’ to get him into the midfield, I think we may have a multiple all Australian HBFer so I’m all for leaving him there and let him keep improving in that role. Rivers, Judd and Bowey means we’re all but set for backline smalls for the next 10 years.
  10. I’d say we freed up some money in the salary cap which is a huge bonus for us - especially now that we have a preview of what clubs will be throwing at Harry Petty.
  11. West Coast did very little over the trade week and have an average draft hand. They are in for quite a few more years of pain. (not that that’s a particularly bad thing)
  12. I take it back. Essendon won trade week again…
  13. Billings reminds me of Jack Watts - talent to burn, smooth mover but sometimes lacking in intensity. If he comes cheap then I’d take him. He has many of the attributes that our list is lacking.
  14. He’s contracted to the end of 2025. If he still feels this way the end of next year, we can look to arrange a trade to gets the best results for us whilst he’s still under contract. For 2024, we need him to have any chance of a flag.
  15. My favourite Dees team. Full of stars and cult favourites that unfortunately ran into a brick wall in the West Coast Eagles 94 team; fielding possibly the best backlines ever.
  16. I suppose it makes for a welcome break from Essendon ‘winning trade week’.
  17. I’m feeling inclined to agree. The thought of Reid is very tempting, but 3 Round 1 picks could possibly set up our list for 15 years.
  18. This is reminiscent of our moves in the 2015 Trade period to secure Oliver and Weideman. Club copped a lot of criticism before all the pieces fell into place.
  19. I just have missed something with Shane McAdam. I thought he was a borderline beat 22 at both clubs… how do you ‘play hardball over that’?
  20. In suppose you never want to see how the sausage is made. I don't really understand the trade but will reserve judgment until the end of the trade period and draft. Welcome Pick 11.
  21. Agreed. Especially for an on-baller; that’s a lot of weight to be pounding around on. I have a feeling his knees may go the way of Lance Whitnall’s.
  22. Jordan Lewis joining us from the hawks is just as strange as this… Surely couldn’t happen. The scuttlebutt in 2022 was that he was playing on very little money. Must be be a matter of length.
  23. Using next year’s R1 pick is the concern.
  24. Dogs are paying overs; they must be very keen on someone. It’s also a strange move as they’ve commented on the difficulties of building their list after having to use so many picks on JUH and Darcy. I hope we go hard for GCs new pick 10.
