Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
I think Lever’s return will see Lewis transitioned our of the team. Lever can play Hore’s current role and Hore basically replaces Lewis positionally. Lever is a leader and organiser down back and Hore has shown great potential in the first rounds of the year.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Nakia Cockatoo? Injured, out of contract and possibly needing a change of scenery... Has a lot of class and pace, but big questions on his body holding up and his ability to find the ball (never clocked up big numbers). Geelong’s cap would have to be tight with all the players they’ve brought in. His skill set, if he can get his body right, is exactly what we need.

Demonland Podcast 14/5 @ 8:30pm Featuring Jayden Hunt
Good get! I'd love to know what Goodwin and the club have outlined for his going forward. I personally have never seen him as a forward (though he was showing good signs of the weekend). Is he playing forward through necessity or is that their long term plan for him? Is a return to half-back on wing on the cards?

Steven May - drinking session
May needs to learn very quickly that the spotlight and media attention in Melbourne is very, very different to anything he’s ever encountered on the Gold Coast.

Hopefully the ‘Nathan Jones’ non-alcoholic beer..?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DECLAN KEILTY
I'm more referring to people over the last few weeks calling for 'spuds' to be delisted whilst in their first year on a list. Calling for a player to be dropped is fine, it's the manner with which many deride young players trying their best that seems to have been missing in this particular case.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DECLAN KEILTY
Kielty's debut is an interesting experience in social media. Drunkn is a fantastic contributor to Demonland and gives us a unique insight into how a player's family ride all the bumps with their son, brother, partner. I have big hopes for Kielty and hope he has a fantastic career with us, but the site in general has been much more accommodating of him as a player than we have with most others. We would do well to remember that every player in our team has a family and afford them the same respect that we have for the number 45.

Max 'officially' the best in the AFL
He hasn't been in his best form, but he's been good for the most part this season; the bar he and Grundy set last year is ridiculously high. I think a lot of people haven't gotten over the round one beating he copped by Port Adelaide. He was excellent on the weekend.

Marty Hore and Jay Lockhart
Hore could push Salem up to the wing when the cavalry starts to coming back into the team...
-
Marty Hore and Jay Lockhart
Think both have been fantastic. Hore is looking more and more reliable down back and is the heir apparent to Hibberd. When Lever and May return he may be freed up to be even more creative across half-back. Lockhart's had a great start. A lot of x-factor in that things seem to 'happen' when the ball is near him. Like Hannan, he regularly finds himself in the right place at the right time.

CASEY DEMONS V FOOTSCRAY VFL - Round 5
I’d like to see him have a run in the team when he is 100% ready. His debut last year was premature; his performance was diabolical.

CASEY DEMONS V FOOTSCRAY VFL - Round 5
Pressure for places and development is vitally important, even with our current injuries and depth issues. Hoping for big games from Weideman, Petty, Spargo, Baker and Sparrow.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DECLAN KEILTY
Gets another game IMHO. Great athlete and would like to see him used up the ground a bit more as a link up mark, like we used to use Pederson.
- POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JAY LOCKHART
May have found a player here! Great game today and looking more and more comfortable each week.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Relax; it's round four in the VFL and he spent the last six weeks of 2018 out with a hamstring injury.

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
That's optimistic. Not the win, but the hope that no one on here will be complaining.

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Oscar’s return was inevitable and seems to point towards TMac going forward again. Surprised by Wagner over Sparrow. No point getting all worked up about whether they are good selections or not- we won’t know until 4:30 Saturday.

When have I heard this tactic before..?

Jayden Hunt Injured?
That’s great to hear Hannan up and about! Was he in the main group or rehab??
-
Josh Kelly
Meh... was never going to come here so not at all concerned that he’s signed on. If anything, it’s good news as it makes it harder for them to hang onto their two other good free agents Coniglio and Tomlinson.
-
Sam Weideman + contract
He’s developing fine. If TMac as an experienced leader in the team was plying better, then it wouldn’t be such an issue. Weideman should be a supporting act at those stage of husbands career.

Gary Pert
It was a lot easier two weeks ago when we could just blame everything on Oscar McDonald.

Gary Pert
I can’t for the life of me imagine how he would have any impact whatsoever on our onfield performance. With that said, Collingwood played finals 7 of his 11 years at the helm, winning 1 premiership and coming runner-up once. If he does have an impact, sounds like a pretty good one.
