AFLW: Rd 4 vs North Melbourne
Some shockers by the umps. You know you’ve jumped the shark when even the commentators are talking about it.

Should they be called out???
The issue here is that there is no way of knowing if the person making the comments on social media is using their real name. In some comments sections, you’ll find most people commenting are using ‘fake’ profiles. There is, for example, nothing stopping me from creating a Facebook profile with someone’s else’s name, even using a photo of them found online, then making the disgusting comments online. The angry mob wouldn’t then come looking for me, they’d come looking for them.

Dees to take on Pies in Scratch Match (22/2/19)
As I’m not particularly tech-savvy... can you rewind a live stream? For example, if I miss the beginning of the match, can I track back to the beginning and watch from the start, or is it like watching TV?

Thanks for the reports! Good to hear that Jones is moving well in rehab and close to rejoining the main group. Seems to have been a great unknown this preseason. Not great news about Hannan’s delayed start to the season. He was excellent for us in the back-end of last year. Hopefully he can get enough Ks into the legs soon.

Congratulations Daisy
She is great for the club and is the highest profile Melbourne player in my living memory. All round superstar!

Misson Leaving at End of 2019
Agreed. I think over the last couple of years our injury list (quantity wise) has been quite good. We've just had rotten luck with the quality of players that have been injured. (Gawn, Jones 2017 + Viney, McDonald, Lever 2018) And I too believe that Viney's 'bullet-proof' attitude to his injury in 2017 may have contributed to him returning too early. Viney was desperate to get back into the team in 2017, and we were praising him for his 'tough' 'hard-nosed' attitude. Sometimes you can play through the pain, other times you need to listen to what the body is telling you. Regarding Misson; I think he's done a good job. We're a young, strong and fit team that is playing and running out games with great intensity. He built the players for finals, and they stood up. Has been at the club for a long time and it's maybe time for some fresh ideas to come in and for him to find a new challenge.

Jake Melksham extends for three more years
Something I've noticed often from Spargo in particular whilst watching highlights over the summer. He has a very, very good footy-brain.

Has become a great pick-up for us! Looking forward to three more years of that lethal left foot.- The Co-Captaincy?
I interpreted everything Jones said as being the typical 'media modesty' that gets wheeled out every year. 'I'll put my hand up for the role... what's best for the club... everyone has to earn their spot... no one's an automatic selection for round one...etc." There's zero chance Viney takes the role as sole-captain after not being able to get on the park consistently since half-way through 2017 and not being able to undertake full training this pre-season. Whilst Jones isn't the player he used to be, he did have an excellent finish to the season - especially rounds 22 and 23 and also performed well in the finals (except of course for what happened on the 22/09/2018). One of the highlights of the build up to the finals was hearing the other players in the team talk about the high regards and respect they hold for Jones and his goal again Geelong to start the final term set the stadium alight. I have no doubt the players will want him as captain.- Baby Melk
Great news! How any professional athlete can have children is completely beyond me. I would have been forced into retirement after the first week.- Demon Legends

Significantly more exciting and meaningful than AFLX.- AFLX Revamped
I thought the only certainty from the MFC to be picked was Nev Jetta...- Training - 2nd February, 2019 @ Maroochydore
I agree that in previous years there has been much more detail in the reporting (Burgo's diaries, etc.). This year they seem to be pivoting more toward the social media content with Clarry, Viney and co. taking over the instagram account. Gives an interesting insight into the lives and routines of the players, but much less content and detail than in years gone by.- Jack Watts video
My priority is not being filmed.- Jack Watts video
Not sure if I’ve ever seen a less impressed look on someone’s face as that woman has in that video...- Farewell Dean Kent
I have no issues that Kent moved on to the Saints. For me, he wasn’t able to keep up with the current team and brand of football that we are playing. A change was needed for him and his re-signing wasn’t a priority for us. He’s an AFL standard player who would probably be peripheral of every team in the league’s best 18. If one of those teams is willing to offer 3 years- take it.- AFLX Revamped
That’s a great result for us. Hopefully May, Jetta and Trac report ‘general soreness’ on match-day and we can have a clean sweep! - Jake Melksham extends for three more years
