Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
Definite yes. Get him out of WA.

The Breaking of Nathan Jones
He is a much better player when he is forward of center and taking Trac's old spot on half forward may see him come close to the 300. I am concerned by a bit of a drop off in his pace - was led to the ball a couple of times by a defender on the weekend, then burnt off. Love him... not sure he'll quite get there this year.

2020 NATIONAL DRAFT ORDER AND SELECTIONS
We traded him in for pick 23, so we've come out alright!

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
I think it’s structural, particularly for Lever. He needs two other key defenders playing alongside him for his game to really click. You’re right in that there has been a marked difference when we started playing either Oscar or Tomlinson in the back six.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
He’s fallen back into his Mr Fixit role that he had at GWS. In his time there he started as a forward, moved to defence, then finished as a wing / relief ruck. He may be something of a jack of all trades, master of none. I was and am a fan and still think he’s a great addition. Without being able to attend matches in person, it’s so hard to understand his role in defence. One thing I do know is that since he’s moved to defence, lever and may have looked good, the backline has been solid and we’ve won three from three. On the basis of that, things are looking good!

Dunn not done
I think 'the love' usually comes down to the circumstances under which a player left. As Whispering Jack said, he stood tall during some very challenging years (under five different coaches), he was a Vice Captain of the club, he wasn't overly blessed with talent, but made the best of what he had most importantly in my book, he was moved on by the club, not because he wanted to go. He, along with players like Watts and Trengove, will hold a special place in people in people's hearts because they loved the club and didn't want to leave. The same affection isn't really afforded to Scully, Frawley, Howe, etc. Not saying that you and everyone else needs to like Dunn, but I have a lot of time for him and wish him all the best.

Weid missing after the siren against the Crows last year in the NT.

Jay Lockhart
Gun and highly underrated. Tough, fast, good skills and is building his confidence and composure.
-
Tom McDonald
Thought he's been good the last couple of weeks when playing 2nd tall forward / relief ruckman. Frees him up a bit and doesn't expose his recent lack of agility.

Two of the worst free kicks you’ll ever see followed by one of the best kicks you’ll ever see.

Meet High Performance Manager Darren Burgess
It's truly incredible what he has done with this list. We were given great access through the 'To hell and back' series and he not only has them fit and healthy, but he built their confidence and belief in themselves. He can be signed for life as far as I'm concerned. A figure like Burgess can also attract players to the club, especially ones like Harley Bennell who have had a bad run of injuries.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
Dropped a stack of weight over the summer and looked in very good nick on the track. Hopefully he's been able to rebuild his base and maintain that discipline since then.

To Hell & Back Again?
It's promotion for the club and positive exposure for our sponsors. With the world the way it is, we should enjoy any win that we can get.

Zac Williams
Williams is a Restricted Free Agent and GWS have a five year contract on the table for him. He's gettable, but would cost a fair slice of the cap to lure him away from such a long term deal.

Wallace: Dees Stunted Weideman’s Development
Ah! The gifting games to high draft pick technique... that sounds somewhat familiar...

Dunn not done
Both started forward and showed some promise in 2006. Bate in particular looked like he could be a player similar to Adelaide's Tom Lynch; mobile, tall half-forward. Never really kicked on. Bailey then tried to fashion Dunn into a big bodied tagger, like Cameron Ling. It was Neeld then Roos that moved him to full back. He started to play some good footy there when Frawley moved forward in '14, but again, didn't develop. Dunn's a great survivor and, by my count is one of only three players remaining from the 2004 drafts (national, pre-season and rookie). The other two being Franklyn and Eddie Betts.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
On the surface of it, yes absolutely. You can never really know though, particularly with a developing player like Weid. Brayshaw was kept out of the 2018 team for the first three rounds, went on to finish third in the Brownlow. We'll never know if he would have had the same year without the development/kick up the bum that those first three rounds gave him. For better or for worse, Weid didn't play for four rounds... but now he's in career best form. Did we miss out on having our best forward playing, or did those rounds in development lead to his current form?

Dees on Brink of Another Trade Disaster
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand bump. Kossie and Rivers were excellent tonight and did everything you could ask of two first year players. Its a fitting time to reflect on the Nth trade, though far from finished, its looking pretty good for the Dees. A futures trade requires a lot of guess work and I liked the trade then, and I like the trade now. (add in Jackson and 2019 draft of looking very solid)

NON MFC: Round 10
Clearly not consented to or invited. Clearly not appreciated. Zero chance of him or the club taking any action against a senior double-premiership player.

Luke Jackson's chances of winning the rising star? * nominated Round 10 *
If Fritsch didn’t take that mark in front of him, he’d have had a very, very good chance.

Gawn In Doubt for Crows?
Yep, I like this. Id even look to bring in Tomlinson and have TMac and Tomlinson work the crowd ruckman over with workfare. Take the pressure off TMac and free him up around the ground. Hopefully can build some confidence and get a few touchesz
-
Gawn In Doubt for Crows?
Rest him. I wouldn't be against him sitting one of these matches out anyways considering the limited recovery days and that we still need to catch up on the Essendon match. Back in our midfielders and put some more responsibility on their shoulders (just for one week).
