Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
So we are the only club with some people married, some unmarried and some young? Spare me -
Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
And then everyone pulled out and Dusty was left holding his di** I'm not saying it's the same scenario, but he's in contract so we have a season to sort it out. -
What a waste of time. Who gives a f@&*

Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agreed. Remember Dustin Martin was potentially leaving and then nothing eventuated. Then look what happened. We don't want players controlling decisions, however it's also important they have a voice. It's a fine line. -
Damien Barrett's scathing assessment of the MFC

Journos constantly make up stuff and get away with it. Only a week or so ago the rumours were Coniglio was leaving for the Blues, then all of a sudden he signs a 7 year deal to stay at GWS. The fact is they have no idea and use words like 'alleged' or 'according to sources' to make up stuff and put it in an article. They are leaches. -
Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Lord Nev's topic in Melbourne Demons
No I understand that. I was more saying there's no point trading him unless we are getting a very good player to fill a hole in our list. My preference is to keep it though as I think he can become our second best mid behind Viney. I'd like to see Harmes and Petracca play for mid/forward as both are dynamic, with Brayshaw spending the majority of his time in the middle. -
Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours

I think the only reason you would do it if we could get Hill and Langdon. Other than that I don't see the point unless we need salary cap relief. -
Small forwards - what are our trading and draft options?
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Pates's topic in Melbourne Demons
Some options at other clubs that have been linked to trades are: Shai Bolton, Dan Butler, Sam Gray, Tom Papley, Eddie Betts, Jamie Elliott, McDonald-Tipungwuti & Brandon Matera. My Top 5 from those would be: 1. McDonald-Tipungwuti 2. Tom Papley 3. Shai Bolton 4. Dan Butler 5. Sam Gray Not sure about the state leagues but surely there would be some decent options. Everyone else seems to find them except us. -
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Maybe last weekend. But don't forget we had Tom McDonald, Steve May & Neville Jetta all out for the remainder of the year. Those three would take up a bit of salary space. -
LOL what a mess that bloke is

This is very much a 'shake the tree and see what falls out' scenario.

This should say the Saints have been active chasing anyone.

I think they just have more cash to throw around given retirements and the fact they have a young list. -
Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)

100% agree. Add in a couple of electric small forwards and another key forward marking option and we are away. 2020 flag here we come. -
Haha count me in....

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
DistrACTION Jackson replied to olisik's topic in Melbourne Demons
Gillon McLachlan really is a blight on the game. He moves the goal posts to suit his agenda, talks about wanting players to stay at certain teams (Coniglio) and comes up with rules on the fly. I don't care if it is pick 2 or 3, as the end result is these players will eventually leave the GC and come back to Melbourne. The only way the AFL will be able to keep players up there is if they give the Suns double the salary cap of the other clubs. It's just so frustrating that this is another example in a long line of AFL bias and a completely inept administration. -
Is this thread serious? Could you imagine the fall out re sponsors if we did that? We would basically be left with the only option being the catholic church, and maybe even they would try distance themselves from him given their current plight.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON

We need to look at anyone who can tackle and kick a goal. Butler, Papley, Sam gray, Shai Bolton, Jarrod Cameron, Jack Petruccele. In m mind we need two of these guys for next season. -
List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.
DistrACTION Jackson replied to samcantstandya's topic in Melbourne Demons
Retired/delisted - Lewis, Maynard, Walker, JKH, T Smith, Keilty & Garlett Hopeful ins: Pick # 2 or 3 - Anderson or Serong Langdon - 2019 2nd round pick Dan Butler - swap of late picks Possible free agents - Newnes, S Hill, Tomlison, Schoenmakers, Westhoff 4th round pick - Tom Cutler -
Both are contracted so I'd be saying no trade. I'd be very surprised if they were both asking to be traded.

Dees to meet with AFL Commission after disastrous 2019
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I was about to post the same thing.... -
In a way I like hearing this, as it explains a bit of drop off in our form, along with the injuries etc. We all make mistakes, the key is how the players respond. It's up to them, the coaches can only give them the tools, they need to execute on that. Could be the best learning curve guys like Brayshaw, Oliver and Petracca ever get.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
DistrACTION Jackson replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'd say our 2nd round pick will get it done, given he is out of contract. He is worth it, given what he brings is something we lack. -
I'll do it if Demonland sponsor my membership and by me the gear. I'll even remove a tooth if it's Collingwood to ensure I'm authentic.

Love buying shoes with their deals. Hoping they bring back the 70% off deal to celebrate...
