I would almost do Howe and our first round pick just for Treloar.

Curnow seems like the most interesting prospect. Since he has been injured he will likely slide, but he sounds like he could be a very good player with his height and athletic ability combining with a large tank. Seems like a player Roos and co. would have their eye on.

I think they are talking about LEWIS Jetta not Neville.

I really don't think playing in Darwin has as big an effect as people think. We have lost after that game in past years mainly because we have lost a lot! It's just a cop out saying 'oh we lost because we had to play in Darwin the week before'. I'm all for the NT partnership at the moment. It brings in a million dollars each year, so unless someone has a spare mill laying around each year to donate I doubt we will be changing it any time soon.

I can see last year's draft being looked at as a massive one for the club. Especially if we are up in a few years challenging deep in finals. #2: Christian Petracca #3: Angus Brayshaw #40: Alex Neal-Bullen #42: Billy Stretch #53: Oscar McDonald Rookie Draft #2 Aaron Vandenberg Plus there also needs to be included in this Sam Frost who we traded pick 23 for and Mitch White who was our other rookie pick and seems to be developing well as a small defender with a booming left foot.

He is paid that because at the time we had no forwards and had to pay overs to get one. I imagine his next contract will be a lot lower than that so we can spend more money on guys like Hogan and Brayshaw. I think people need to get over what Dawes was signed on.

Is Henderson a free agent? If we could get him in we can then take the best mid out our first pick and not have to develop a tall.

Imagine the reception he will get if he comes back and plays next season!

We are a long way ahead of last season. In the games we won last year we pretty much fell over the line in a number of them. This season we have had some comprehensive wins. We've still had a few bad games obviously but if you can't see the improvement you're blind!

I think we will win 5 more, leaving us with 9 wins for the season.

Re-signed just recently

What would be great is if we come out in 2 weeks time and break another hoodoo- beating the Eagles. I really hate that club! Their supporters are smug, they are gifted a ridiculous amount of free kicks each game and they always smash us. It would be so sweet to beat Geelong in Geelong and then beat the Eagles the next game!

If we could add him and someone like Scott Selwood as free agents, plus our first round pick it could go a long way to us making finals next season.

We aren't playing finals this season so couldn't care less. Would rather they manage his loads for longevity when we win all our flags in 3-7 years time.

I don't understand why the AFL can't get the clash jumper situation right. Step 1) Every club has a home jumper and an away jumper that is different Step 2) The home club always wears their main jumper and it is the away teams job to change Step 3) If there is NO CLASH then don't bother wearing the away jumper. Pretty bloody simple.

Definitely think he will be in the mix for us.

He's been on the rookie list for half a season? You're a tough man Stuie.... if you were head of our list management I'd imagine we would turn over 20 players a season.

What about this trade: Mebourne: Pick 1 (likely 4 or 5), Pick 2 and Howe GWS: Conglio, Tomlinson, Hampton Would they go for it?

You wouldn't take pick 13 for Howe? I would be looking to already have a deal sown up to on trade the pick but either way I'd definitely take pick 13 for him.

I think GWS will definitely offer him a contract and if we can get their first pick it would be a good outcome. We can then either use that in the draft or trade it for an established player. Think maybe Carlisle from the Bombers if he wants to leave.

I'm going with: Out: Grimes, Pederson, Michie In: Dawes, White, Fitzpatrick I'd like to see ANB get another run as it takes a couple of AFL games to really get the speed. Also minimal changes are good for team balance. It sounds like White has been defending well and is a much better kick than Terlich so I think he should get a run. If it's wet switch Fitzpatrick with Michie- though he is good to have as a ruck back up as I don't think Dawes can do it. Does anyone else think that the clash jumper actually clashed more with the saints than our regular jumper? That red strip on the side looks very similar to the Saints red strip. Another weird decision by the AFL.

I think over-use is a symptom of the players not being fully engrained with the system. Over time they will become better and better and we will find we start to dominate teams in the middle. We have some very good young ball winners in Viney, Tyson and Brayshaw.

Best players are Hogan, Brayshaw, Viney- we just need to keep turning over the old heads until the old heads are those three. Maybe then we will challenge for a flag or at least a final!
