WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
That does make sense. In my mind there should be no compensation. I think 8 years in the system players should be restricted free agents and then after 10 they should be unrestricted for the remainder of their career. This would increase the movement of players and make it easier for older players to chase a flag if they want or leave successful clubs to chase bigger dollars. Or one alternative would be a compensation pick is only received if the player leaves a club lower on the ladder.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Let's be honest, there is no formula. It's just the AFL deciding what they want to give based on the side losing the player. It helped us net a top 3 pick for Frawley so I'm not complaining.... just think if they want to be serious about it the formula should be available to all and transparent.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
I think there was some mention that the Dockers have an academy guy this year expected to go in the teens, so they may prefer a 2nd round pick next year which would work perfectly. But yes I'd happily trade pick 22 this season.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
The thing that really excites me about this guy is that his last 4 games of the season were at a very high quality. He averaged the following: Disposals - 29.5 Marks - 6.5 Tackles - 2 Goals - 1.25 Fantasy Points - 111.25 He could be the steal of this trade period if he continues his trajectory as an outside mid.

Jumper Numbers 2020
And Langdon to take 6.

Jumper Numbers 2020
I'd say Tomlinsn to stick with number 20?

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
People are saying this with hindsight of May and Lever being inured, which is ridiculous. Those two will still be massive for us in the next 3-4 years, Lever probably much longer.

Jamie Elliott
What has Gus got to do with getting Sam Gray?

Jamie Elliott
I'd be turning my attention to Sam Gray if Elliott is not happening....

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Tomlinson was a wingman before the Giants brought in Kelly and Whitfield. They then beefed him up to play more ruck time. I think we will be looking to take a few kilos off his frame to allow him to use his run more.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Are they from a Vic club?
-
Jamie Elliott
Last two seasons: Melbourne - Finals played 3 / wins 2 Losses 1 Brisbane - Finals played 2 / wins 0 losses 2 While we had a shocking year, to say they are miles ahead is ridiculous. Just last season they finished with a total of 5 wins.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Can't see the link... does it say anything more than we already know?

Terry Wallace's Analysis of the Dees List
He got 2/4 in the prelims I guess.... he's a flo g though

Terry Wallace's Analysis of the Dees List
I wouldn't worry about it. At the end of 2016, Kane Cornes said it was a dumb idea for Richmond to go after Dion Prestia because they aren't in the 'premiership window'. Fast forward three years and they've won two flags. Most media people sensationalize everything to stay in the news as much as possible and Wallace is no different.

Jamie Elliott
That sounds like what someone who's leaving would say....

Jack Newnes
It is a bit surprising given he would probably be cheaper than Tomlinson.... I guess Alan Richardson would be able to give us the inside word on Jack.

The 2019 AFL Draft Combine
What type of player is he?
-
Phantom Drafts
Without knowing much about the draftees available, it definitely seems like a year where we would be better off have 2 picks within 20 than 1.... Would be happy to swap pick 3 for one late top 10 pick and another in the teens.

AFLW: Dees 2 New Irish Recruits
Hopefully this paves the way for bringing in more talent from Ireland again. Disappointing we haven't had much Irish talent for many years.

Gaff or Andrew Brayshaw Rumour
We are in a pretty good position here. We have GWS wanting an early pick to try and get a pick earlier than the nomination for Green. Freo and West Coast in a war to get the highest pick to satisfy Geelong.

List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.
If Frost is on the way out, I'd love us to look at Dougal Howard from Port as a potential replacement. 199cm backman who could become our Astubry style fullback. We can then have May as the 2nd tall and Lever as 3rd tall/intercept marker. This will allow Petty to remain up forward where I think he showed a bit and also give us flexibility, as both can play as a back up ruckman at times.

Keith “Bluey” Truscott Trophy 2019
Can anyone see Jamie Elliott?

Splitting Draft Pick 3
If the Giants are desperate and offer pick 13,18 and Hately/Caldwell for pick 3 I'd probably take that. Could then take the two quick players with those picks or someone who slides. Cody Weightman has been discussed as an electric small forward and Luke Jackson from WA is one who is a similar player to Grundy and may slide a bit as ruck men often do.

Billy Stretch
My point is there should be no priority picks. It's up to each club to sort themselves out, not the AFL granting extra picks. Besides, it's looking likely the Suns may get Brad Crouch and Brandon Ellis, so this shows they can do it themselves. I'm all for giving them additional salary cap to pay players more, but giving them extra draft picks is a waste of time.
