Gee some people are being a bit rough on Morris. He is paid to report news and he has done this. And yes, this is news, purely due to the fact that May arrived at the club not within the conditioning expected. May would be disappointed, club would be disappointed and so should the supporters. Let's get him fit, give him support and get him back playing good footy. As for Morris, whether you like him or the news he reports, he has done what has been asked of him from his employer.

Kicking is an exact art. Salem's ball drop is flawless. He holds the ball all the way to the boot and it is inline with his head. None of this can be said for Petracca.. Huge drop, ball well out in front.

Yeah he was off for a while too. Just one of those patches where there are minimal breaks in play.

If we had lost it, a large portion of the blame would have to sit with OMAC.. He looks relieved.

That is an interesting take.. Picking a forward line based on defenders. Not being smart, just never heard of that- thought forwards dictated defensive composition.

Unusual changes.. but yet again Goodwin has not made a great deal of sense this year.. Only way this can work is if T-Mac goes forward, Fritch to the wing and Salem to Wing/HFF and Hunt and Wagner to go back. Would love to have another Salem. Everyone gives him wraps for his immaculate foot skills but he is a seriously underrated defender these days.

Melksham in the middle was okay.. the rest were average. Harmes to Martin would have been the 1-wood. He is clearly a man struggling without form players to make him look better than he is..

Only with reference, like most to our one dimensional midfield and lack of small forwards. Coaching panel has concerned me for some time.

Yeah it was your classic MFC floater.. seriously our worst area in need of improvement. on another note, would love a Melbourne player this year to physical ruffle some opposition players feathers.. we look so polite this year..

I’d show the team a map of the MCG, highlight to the midfield the defensive end and explain to them they are not playing netball- there are no exclusion areas. In seriousness, I think it’s more a break for the coaches- so they can Google the 6-6-6 rule and see what it means.

I dreamed when Viney arrived, he would be a star of the comp. he is currently our 3rd or 4th best midfielder and has lost his explosive 5m pace. Just want to add more layers to the side with guys who have some currency

Not sure who we are into, but would like to see what we would get in return for Frost, OMac, Petracca, Garlett, Hunt, ANB and Viney. This year will define us and we need to be ruthless. We have severely overestimated our list.
