Some thoughts: hore looks promising and will be a solid player in the backline if needed smith looked good as the third tall when we played well - first quarter tigers outplayed for most of the match the Preuss hype will take a hit. Poor in the ruck and didnt influence the match. I guess he has only played 7 matches clarry has somehow gotten better. I feel privileged to watch him play

Might be a practice match but with round one less then 3 weeks away and 30 odd players in the mix I expect the players will be going in pretty hard. Cant wait to see Tom Sparrow play

I played soccer for years at not a high level and even there we always had to arrive in club gear or pants/shirt. its about team unity, presenting as a professional unit. the players run the show in the NBA and I have no idea why anyone would want to copy that ego fest.

not a problem that I can see. if any performance enhancing drugs (including coke/meth on game day) found - suspension. if none, no action. get rid of the ridiculous 3 strike policy that does noone any favours

really disappointing that the MH movement is being tarnished by people taking drugs and this 3 strike policy. I don't really understand why the AFL are testing for non performance enhancing drugs. My opinion is the AFL should deal with things that are under the scope of the AFL. Recreational drugs are an issue for the police so I would not be testing players aside from performance enhancing drugs.

i reckon this is due to having a lot of senior players with >7-8 preseasons under their belt. players over 25 should be OK but I wouldn't be surprised if players under 23 on our list with interrupted preseasons struggle this year

Love how the Weed goes about it. no fanfare, no talk, just head down work hard. his agility and aggression improved last year. still a lot to work on but the signs are good.

I'm definately in the Viney solo captain group. Jones is a MFC legend but Viney is our true inspiration and leader. I'm confident he will play a full season

The players also have to look after their mental health and come back mentally fresh to attack another intense year. I don't condone drunken fights, but water skiing should be fine. take away players relaxing/fun activities and the pressure and frustration will build. what's next, surfing, bike riding? accidents happen just don't play basketball with your dogs
